My sons class is taking a field trip and are looking for ways to raise money so that the parents dont have to come up with the money to pay for the trip.Any good ideas on things they can do with little help from the parents,so that they will feel useful in the efforts of raising funds?

I would have to say do a Bake Sale or Fund Raiser. Maybe a craft sale or have a raffle for something. Like maybe the winner gets to throw a pie in the principals face.

I am not sure how time sensitive this your fund raising efforts has to happen but take a look at www.varsitygold.com . I coach HS ball and we have made 5,000 dollars in a night when we sold their discount cards which is a great product. We also made 2,000 dollars when we sold their cookie dough. It is a great company and you can get underway with them fairly rapidly.

The site mentioned here is good for fundraising opportunities, thank you for sharing it. If this site is not feasible for your son to make enough money, try some brainstorming ! Meaning, maybe the kids in the neighborhood can put together a bake sale, a raffle, a community clean-up crew in which every every street cleaned up of debris, the neighbors in the area could donate a few dollars ?
Just a thought . . .
sharing the light and happy new year,

Our kids sold pizza, cookie dough and did a car wash. They did very well with all three especially the car wash.
Can also do something involving the parents and turn it into a profitable fund raiser. Other ideas are also on this page.

When I was in band we did car washes and did really well. I'm not sure if it is warm enough where you are though. The cookie dough thing is a good one. I myself like to buy from them. Candy bars are great because you can sell them to anyone and everyone can afford to give a dollar of two.

My grandson's sports teams already have sold beef jerky as a fund raiser and did fantastic with it it. Check out my website on my profile and PM me if you're interested and need any help. This is a delicious and healthy snack that kids and adults love, so it just might work out really well. Also, you could raise money by giving away satellite TV systems or cell phones.

If you have a Krispy Kreme Dougnut Shop close by they have a program for groups raising money. If not, perhaps another
chain.
