I come from a very warm country. But I know some Chinese herbs & acupuncture do help to tackle arthritis. I believe it is the wind and dampness that causes it. The dampness 'stays' in the joints and causes the pain whenever it gets cold. I'm not sure if your country has acupuncture professionals... but pls look for a reliable one.

I have had both acupuncture and acupressure treatments for pain management... I felt so good all over after sessions! There are many very good, licensed professionals all over the country, and I wish that all my problems had been taken care of by the treatments. Unfortunately, I did more damage, and must be on meds, but I know my important pressure points now and can use them when necessary as backup for my meds.

Yes, and the cold makes arthritis much worse. I have arthritis in my spine and my back is always aching when the cold fronts come on. Do you use a heating pad? I've tried to use those heating strips that you can attach to your back, but the sticky stuff doesn't stay, and it ends up falling out of my shirt. Which isn't exactly a normal kind of thing to see...

Sure do, I use to tolerate Winter and now I can't stand it....just too cold already. I live in Ohio, not quite as cold as where you are, but the feeling is the same in the bones, and I'm always cold too. Here's a few suggestions which I'm sure you've already done, but thought I'd mention them anyway. Taking really warm showers or a bath before bed helps, and during the day too. Warms up the body. An electric blanket is cozy. Keeping up with your exercise warms up the body also. If you have a gym or spa near by that has a pool, the warm water really helps the muscles and bones. Keep a nice cup of hot chocolate handy, haha, that's just plain yummy........take care and I hope you feel better. Think Spring, lol!

My feet get really cold when it is cold outside even with shoes and socks on they will be ice cold and I just can't get themt to warm up. My mom has arthiris and her bones and joints ache really bad when the weatehr gets cold and her knees start to really bother her. The scar on her shoulder from having surgery gets really sore to. It is weird how the weather can affect our bodies so much.

Ok so if you are cold say inside as much as possible wear as many colthes that can fit on your body. Also if your cold and u keep saying " i am cold" then you will get colder. Think of warms places thats what i do. Also the cod is pretty nice after all would you like it hot and sunny all the time. Its nice to have a break i think.

I do not have arthritis but I really can feel the cold. I live in Winnipeg, and this morning, the wind chill made it seem colder than it was. I have very sensitive ears and nose, and I have to put my scarf around my face. I am not suited for this climate, but my husband worked for CN and he got transferred here, and since he was born on the Prairies, he loves this weather, but I do not.

I hope that that's not the case. I don't live in that cold a place, (Southwestern Ohio) but I am always cold. I try to take in as much iron as possible, since my Grandmother is always saying that's the problem, but it never seems to help. I am always cold, even in the summer, at least in the house with the AC on. I really hope being cold won't give me arthritis later in life, because I will have it something terrible as cold as I stay.

i'm always cold. my friend s always ask me if theres something wrong when i'm not cold. i have to have my heat cranked in my place and even then i feel cold. the only thing i can suggest is stand in the bathroom turn the shower on to really really hot put a towel at the bottome of the door so the steam can't get out and make your own sauna this should help you warm up a bit

I just bundle and layer... its usually a tank top, t-shirt and sweater, and if I get really cold I call a dog to snuggle me. My biggest problem is with the summer heat... I have adhesions from many surgeries, and when its hot, I swell up and can barely move away from the fan or air conditioner.
