I am Sick of Helium

Okay, normally in a month I write about 12-15 articles for Helium. This doesn't grow my account by huge numbers or anything, but I have been making more and more money there each month.
With the Reward-athon going on (they are going to pay 1-3 dollars for each article written in the 99 days) I have been there every day writing like mad. I have set aside my other websites (except my blogs) including myLot for the most part and have completed 75 articles with 84 days left. I am sick of Helium!
Anyone else working hard at doing the reward-athon? Anyone else sick of Helium?

I've actually made a small amount from Helium, most of it from having Marketplace articles chosen. However,I do also get a slight residual income from my other articles, so I'm happy to keep writing there when time allows.
When I first saw the contest, I had planned on trying to log on more often to write in order to bump my payment up, but my other freelance writing jobs, along with my full time job have been eating up all my time recently, so I've been on even less than usual.
Still, if I do get the time, I will continue to write articles on Helium, and see how I do at the end of this promotion.

I hope you read the fine print on that offer! You have to have some stars in Rating in order to be eligible for the bonus dollars. I only have one writing star and no rating stars although I rate more articles than I write. No matter, if they are good articles, you will get some residual income from them over time. I love Helium, but I don't want to get sick of it, so I haven't entered any of their promotions. Good luck!

Under Helium's payment structure I normally get paid for page views. Each of my articles makes a few pennies a month (some more then that). Over time it builds up a great passive income that keeps coming in even when I am not working on it.
Right now if you write a lot and rate a lot you can get 1-3 dollars an article that you wrote between Jan 7 and April 14. Payment will be made on April 15. However, you have to have one or more writing stars and three or more rating stars, so it does take a little work.

LOL...Helium does referrals through e-mail, they don't have a link.
Helium makes it easy to write, however your articles make money according to page views which means that it takes awhile to make money. You can message me with your e-mail address if you want to go under me, or feel free to check it out on your own at www.helium.com

Well, I search things I know about. I think of, hmmm, I think I will write about...myLot and I do a search. Then I open all titles that are about the topic I searched and write what I know. Some topics have a ton of titles in them, for example I am writing on coffee right now and have lots of articles open and waiting. I worked as a barista for a year, so, coffee is something I know something about.

Seventy Five articles, are you sure they will pay you for each one? Or do you mean they will decide which ones to pay you for? I joined Helium a few months back but then never did go back to do any writing. Do they pay better then myLot?

I wrote an article requested by publishers in the marketplace of Helium, and it was top-ranked through ratings done by members. I was thinking I might be rewarded with the $20+ the publishers would be paying me if they used the article. But all I got from Helium was a few cents. I am rather disappointed, and I hardly write now in Helium.

According to the Reward-athon fine print, if you have three rating stars and at least one writing star, you will get money for each one (according to how many writing stars you have at the end of the reward-athon). I have three writing stars (which I had at the start, meaning at least two dollars an article) and I now have two rating stars, though they are fairly easy to get if you rate after you write each time.
So, if you have three rating stars, and one or more writing stars (at the end) then you will get paid for each article you wrote during the reward-athon. I am looking at getting paid at least $2 an article and hopefully three.

I haven't heard of Helium before. That's a lot of articles though that you have written. Will they pay you for all of them? I would be sick of that site too if I wrote that many articles. LOL

This is the first I've ever heard of Helium. So I guess I'll have to go check them out. Sounds like you'll be making some money, but I'd check out the details.

Wow! That's really a lot of work! I know of that reward-athon thing but I don't think I could write that much because I don't want to give up my other work. But it surely sounds very tempting because of the pay. I hope you don't get frustrated with it. Keep up the good work and I wish you all the very best in getting the "reward".

I signed up for Helium but never went back and wrote anything for them. I didn't really get how the whole thing worked. I started writing for Associated Content because they pay me up front. I don't have the time to write a ton of articles every day so I just choose the ones I like from the list that they have and write about that topic. I haven't been denied yet, and the article doesn't take me long to write so I like writing there. I also make performance pay on the articles that I have written. It works out well for me.
I hope you make all the money you are workng for on Helium! Sounds like a whole LOT of work! :)

I've heard of Helium but usually nothing too exciting. How is the reward-athon work? Are they paying $1 up front or is it something like after so many hits they'll pay?
I didn't get either (I just checked them out) they don't want you even mentioning your name or anything in your article. I write a lot about personal experience so I wonder if that might be a problem there.

They are paying 1-3 upfront if you get three rating stars and one or more writing star between now and April 14th.
As for the not mentioning your name that isn't quite right. They aren't asking you not to mention your name, but not to include a by line. That is the by so and so line. This isn't because they are against people knowing who wrote the article, but because they include the line for you and a link to your profile page. I don't think you would have a problem with your stuff.
