It really depends on what types of places you like to go to and what activities you enjoy! Also, how far are you willing to travel? Many campgrounds are extrememly different! When you camp on the beach it's very different from camping in the woods! Some campsites are near a lake for fishermen/women! Some campsites have no restrooms or showers and others tend to! So it really depends on what exactly you're looking for! I live in California and have many places I camp at with my family! But just let me know if you'd be willing to come to California if you even live in the U.S.! LOL I can give you some great suggestions!

That's right. I advise you go to the place you can enjoy all of them, then you can get to know which is your favorite. For the first time, I do not advise you go too far from your home, and also not so wild place. Keep you save and warm is the most important thing.

Your best bet is to go to your State Park. Most State Parks have clean restrooms, and also have camp stores (just in case you forgot something) There is probably a State Park close to you. Generally, the department of natural resources will patrol the camp grounds, so it is pretty safe place to be. For your 1st couple of camping trips, I would stay close to home. That way if you don't like it, or you forget something important you can always run home to get it. After you camped a few times, you will have a better idea what you need to pack and also weather this is something you really like to do.

It depends on your lifestyle and how far you are willing to travel. Also, how remote do you want it? I am from the South. I would go to Fort Pickens every year. This place had woods, beaches, bike paths, hiking, and history. Hurricane Ivan wiped it out and it is struggling to recoup. Part of it is now open. If you have kids and never been to Disney World, camping at Fort Wilderness is fairly inexpensive and offers so much. When we go we stay for a week and only do 2 theme parks. The campgrounds there offers so much for everyone. If I didn't have kids, I would go somewhere more remote. Let me know if this helps or if you find out other info about camping places.
