while i dont scrapbook perse, i do use a lot of the same embelleshments for a line of cards that i am developing...
i find that there are SO many dollar stores out there that are selling great scrapbooking stuff, that it is crazy to buy your stuff anywhere else (unless the item is specialized)
we have a chain of dollar stores here in canada as well as a variety of independantly owned ones and they all seem to be jumping on the scrapbooking bandwagon...
where do you all shop for your stuff?

I do get some items from the Dollar stores, around here it seems to be more of clearenced out items or discontinued items from other stores. I shop at Michaels mainly and Joanne's. I also like Recollections (especially for their crops), but they are being all closed up and it makes us all sad here in Phoenix. There's also Hobby Lobby that's really great - wonderful deals there and usually people on the floor to help you. Sometimes I also get items from Wal-Mart and Target.

Hello..
Yes aren't the dollar shops wonderful to our scrapbooking obession ??
I love the dollar tree and have bought prolly every paper they have out. but then again i am a paper freak ! gotta have it..
I also shop at the $1 shop a few miles from me, they have gotten some of the newer type embellishments in bling ribbon slides and bling flowers.. totally cool and your not breaking your wallet buying a bunch !
also big lots is an excellant place to shop.. i get also great deals online too
when i find a site selling 12 x 12 paper cheap.. i have gotten lots for 5cents each
and recently on ebay i bought all the new lines from three bugs and sassafrass and others for 35 cents a sheet that is great for me.. i really shouldn't be buying paper i have enuf i could scrap for years and never use it all.. but you know there might just be a need for those papers i don't have that makes me want them and i end up buying them anyway.. lol

we dont have a big box up here (i am guessing it is like sam's eh?) (i live in canada...) but i was lucky enough to find a scrapbooking store that was moving, so selling everything off @ 50% off (somethings you just cant get at dollar stores) and i managed to find some great stuff there...)

I have seen some scrapbooking supplies in dollar stores, but only some of it is good. I am not finding too much that is all that great, however I have bought a few things. I have even found really cute stencils at the dollar store.

I get a few things at the Dollar store...Dollar tree to be exact. But get most of my things from JoAnn's....Hobby Lobby or Michaels. I sometimes get a few things from Archivers. But they are way more expensive then the other places. What kind of cards are you doing? I love making card!

I use to buy a lot of my supplies from craft stores like Michaels. But now I get a lot of embellishments from the dollar store. They've really started to carry a good selection of craft materials for scrapbooking and card making. And it's so cheap compared to paying the prices from the craftstores!
I've also found that some stores like Costco and HomeSense have good supplies of scrapbook paper, books, and complete kits. And they're drastically cheaper than the craft stores.
It definitely pays to shop around for supplies. You can save yourself a bundle! And there's nothing like buying new supplies to get you excited about starting a new project.

I'm in Canada too - and we don't seem to have as many stores with scrapbooking supplies as in the states. So whenever I travel downto the US I make an effort to visit Joann Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, and any other craft stores I see!

I like to buy the majority of my scrap booking supplies at Michael's, because they have a wide selection to choose from and a lot of different themes. I have bought some things from the dollar store, but they just don't have a wide selection of paper or stickers. We just got in a hobby lobby in another town not to far away, so I'll be shopping there often.
