You really aren't going to belive this. The painted symbols on my 's', 'e', 'n' and 'm' keys on my keyboard are worn off! Fortunately I had a typing instructor when I was in highschool (back in the darkages!) who covered the typewriter keyboard so that we learned to type without looking! I don't need to see the letters. But isn't that strange that only those have worn off? Are any of your keyboard letters worn off?

I have letters that are worn off, too. The ones completely missing are t,h,k,l,n,m and the ones that are half missing are a,s i.o,c and (or the key with the period.)
This is the first keyboard I have that has done this and I haven't had it for probably more than 6 months, what I thought was interesting was that this keyboard is black with white lettering instead of the traditional white keyboard with black lettering. I's also a wireless one.
I'm thinking that maybe it's the color keyboard that you have, but no one so far seems to have mentioned this.

Mine are about the same: n - e - s - m, and I have d & c pretty worn off too. I have a hunch that most keyboards will probably have the same ones worn. Those letters are the most used ones in the alphabet with the exception of t & r. Not sure, but maybe it's the angle of our fingers hitting the keys to some extent. It'll be interesting to see if the same letters are repeatedly worn off lol. I fix mine once in a while with a thin magic marker. I don't look at the letters, etc when I type, it just comes automatically because I've typed since high school. The only time I actually look at the letters is when I'm typing those scrambled letters some websites have 'to prove you're not a bot.' For some reason, I look at each letter while I'm typing that in. My typing teacher used to cover the letters and numbers too. Wonder if they all did that?

Okay, how old is your keyboard, my letters have not worn off, but the previously matte finish has gained a certain shine, and my computer is just under 3 years old.

I don't need the letters to type, usually I watch TV while I am responding on here anyhow. Maybe that is why my spelling is so bad.

Never, though I use my keyboard everyday but all the letters are still visible. Maybe you have sweaty fingers. I sometimes notice other keyboards from friend’s house that letters are almost all gone but thank goodness I memorize the keys on it. This is my second keyboard in so many years now. My first is still okay and keys are intact. This second keyboard is better than the first actually and it looks good still too. Why don’t you buy a new one?

LOL yea some of mine are worn off too but like you I learned yrs ago how to type without looking at the keys so it doesnt phase me...My husband however gets a little flustered when he needs to use my computer instead of his own cause he's a pick n peck kinda guy LOL so he NEEDS to see the keys/letters LOL...
My "i" is completely gone, as is the "r", the "o", "l", "t" and "u" are well on their way to being completely gone too LOL..The "s", "p" and "n" are a little less than half gone as well...I'd consider getting a new keyboard but I'm very partial to this one and the thought of breaking in a new one really doesnt appeal to me LOL

I can understand "e" it's the most used letter in the alphabet...I can understand "s" as well but nit "n" and "m".
I've had several keyboards so i guess nothing gets a chance to wear off. I wish I could type properly using all my fingers and not looking. *sigh*.

every print on every keys in my keyboard are still intact and still clear without the slightest sign of wearing off. ^__^ however, the letters are slightly faded compared to the others keys that are not usually used. but still, they are as clear as the rest of them. and i use my computer every now and then. i have it for a couple of years. ^__^
some of the letters in the keyboards at our office are faded too and you can't barely see the letters. but i don't have a problem with it because like you, i can type without looking at the keyboard and its like i've memorized all the locations of the letters. ^__^

No, so I guess that means that I don't do enough typing!
I didn't learn to type until I got out of high school, so I've always had to struggle to get any typing done!
luckily for this myLot, I do a lot of typing, and have actually improved a lot!

I have had keyboards in the past that have had letters worn off. My last one at work had a couple worn off also. I don't look at the keys either, so they could all be blank and I'd still be ok. My son actually painted his all different colors once with a Sharpie because he was bored - he types pretty good too.

I have had a keyboard with letters worn off before. It was one of my first computers, a Mac and it lasted for about 12 years. In fact, it is still running but I have upgraded of course. I would assume that those are the most commonly used letters on the keyboard. I don't have to look at the keyboard either. I've been typing for years and always loved to type. Thank goodness for good typing instructors, huh?

LOL The only one of mine that is faded is the "K". It is so faded that you can not see it at all. All the other letters is in perfect shape. That is so weird that you have several worn off.
