My son is different. He doesn't like to have his food really hot. He would be happy if it's room temperature or just slightly warmer. I prefer to have it hot...so butter melts on mashed potatoes...etc. but not so hot it burns my mouth. I know some people that can eat and drink at very hot temperatures. How do you like you supposedly hot food? Very hot....normal....or slightly warm?

it depends on the weather and temperature. if its cold and rainy, then i prefer hot and warm foods. but if its summer and temperature is high, i'll wait for the food to get cold. ^__^;; but there are foods that are best eaten when warm and hot like soups. and they are best eaten that way to fully appreciate its taste. ^__^

My favorite dish is better hot. It is pizza. It has to be hot enough that the cheese is just right.I also like pasta and it is best served hot.

I don't like it really hot. I don't want my mouth burned. In fact, when drinking hot tea, I will usually add an ice cube or two after it's done steeping (I don't drink coffee). Frankly, if something is too hot, I can't taste it.

My son is like your son while my husband and daughter are like you. I just like my food a normal temp. I really can't drink at a very hot temperature - I always and I mean always burn my tongue, I don't know how others do it and not have it bother them. In fact, I took a big gulp of some hot chocolate the other day (not realizing how hot it was) and my tongue is still burnt.

Off hand I can't think of who it is that is the same as your son, maybe my nephew or niece? Not sure but someone I know.
As for me, I don't like it so hot that it burns your mouth but I don't like it cool either unless it is meant to be eaten cool or cold.
