Hmmm... if you really want to lose weight it should be a balance of sort. Anyways, you should eat moderately and at the same time do some physical work.
If you are just too focus on your diet the worse could be you will lose the nutrients your body needs. Exercise on the other hand exercises your heart muscle ;) which i think is a plus point. :)

I am just like you. I think as excercise now as a change to healthy lifestyle. Exercising is good for the heart. It keeps your blood flow running steady.

I have to do both if I want results. It`s hard to resist temptation, boy do I know. It is hard.. but I allow myself a treat once in a while so I don`t feel deprived either.

It should go together in order for losing weight o be effective. I read somewhere the diet should go first. If you are comfortable with eating smaller amount than you used to take, then you are ready to exercise. I also love to eat but I am lucky because I don't get fat that fast.Maybe because I move fast prefer walking than being seated for a long time.

When you are determined to lose weight, then the best thing is to do exercise. Personally, i have lost around 7Kgs of weight, in a span of 3-4 months. And all i did was this:
-100 skips per day (with a skipping rope)
-yoga for 10 minutes
-walking for 20 minutes
And thats it! It will not take u more than 35 minutes for this.
Well my diet did include more of fruits and fresh veggies.

I choose to do both. I realize that without exercise, it takes longer to shed the pounds. If you do at least 30 minutes of cardio, 4x a week and eat the right foods. You will start to notice a difference after the 1st month. I like to use the treadmill with a incline of 5. My legs feel so tight and I can see my calf muscle.

all doctors i went to told me the same old story..eat less exercise more...
but finally i got a doctor who put me on Meridian..and so far it works for me but you have to watch this med as it will raise your blood pressure...and have side effects..so it is not for everybody...but to me this is better then surgery...so far I have lost weight over the holidays...but i enjoy having the control to say no to the temptations of good and fast food...exercise is also a very important step as I go to the YMCA and exercise in the pool and on the equiptment...but I am retired and have a lot of time to do this..even if you are working you still have to exercise as your body get used to your work and i never could figure this out but exercise is the key..even if you don't feel like it or are tired..as this is when you need it the most..sorry to preach...get a friend..to join you..or buy some walkman and listen to books on tape (free at library__) or music...
swimming is fun..and so is water walking...as it takes the weight off of your joints..
