First, you must avoid foods that you are allergic with, though sometimes, during pregnancy, antihistamine works overtime causing you not to be allergic with certain foods taht used to be bad for you.
Also, don't overeat because your womb is already taking space inside. Don't eat too much food that are difficult to digest such as rice, oyster, jackfruit, durian, etc to aboid indigection and uneasiness.
I also cut down, sometimes totally avoid caffeine and tea while pregnant. SOftdrinks are bad too, especially those with artificial sweeteners since phenlalamine are hazardous to the unborn child (my teacher said it could cause mental retardation).
Salty foods are to be avoided too because it makes you retain water and look bloated especially n he last trimester of the pregnancy.
A balanced diet is always advised. I used to eat iodine-rich food then to avoid mental retardation and spina bifida because I had measles while I was 2 months pregnant with my second child but I ended up having hyperthyroidism.
