In my case it depends on the circumstances. When I'm looking forward to do something i really want to do, I don't really mind. But if for instance i get woken up too early by a silly phonecall (like a telemarketer etc.), or someone makes too much noise at home etc, then i really get up in a bad bad mood. It can last at least an hour since i wake up, so until i cool off, you better leave me alone hehe.
How about you? do you get moody when you wake up? why is that?

Sometimes if Im feeling really yucky that morning then I can get grouchy or if my daughter wakes up before I am ready to wake up then im a little grouchy. lol most of the time i wake up before her though. As long as I got my morning soda and my morning ciggerette Im good.

Yeah well, if you smoke then there's an additional reason to be grouchy right after waking up i guess, which could be the lack of nicotine in your system. Thank you for replying.

No, I’m me when I wake up naturally. But if someone force to wake me up then I became possibly moody. I hate it when someone woke me up for something to do or my phone’s ringing out of nothing to say just a greeting (that’s why I make sure my phone is off when I’m sleeping).

Generally, I tend to wake up in a pretty good mood. Of course, that depends on what mood I was in when I went to sleep. :P
That said, long time ago, I heard someone say you decide what kind of day you're going to have. So if you decide before you go to bed that you're going to have a great next day, you can make it so. Likewise, you can will yourself to be a grump when you wake up in the morning. I really try very hard to clear my mind before I go to bed and think only good thoughts. If I'm not too wiped out, I'll also try to read some type of book with a good message, maybe motivational in nature, for about fifteen minutes.
But I have to go with you on something. If I'm rudely awakened by a too-early phone call or knock at the door, that tends to get me off on the wrong foot. That pretty much puts the kaibosh on the good thoughts of a good day from the night before, eh?

I tend to be pretty grumpy when I wake up. I know I have a caffeine addiction which doesn't help matters. I hate the telephone even when I am ALREADY awake any time of day...it's a horrible invention.
I sometimes either laugh or blitch at my stepson who blames everything on my hormones. We have a joke in this house that the P in PMS stands for PERPETUAL.

It depends on how i am greeted in the morning and also lacking sleep is also a factor. For example when i was woken up by our cute dog that would be a nice morning and i won't get irritated but when i was woken up by a loud music of kareoke from the neighbor that would make may day a bad day!

I am not really a morning person. I am moody and don't like to talk first thing in the morning before i have my coffee. But after having my coffee then my mood would start to lighten up and I could be already have a rational conversation like a normal person. he he he! I am just so not into talking when i wake up and i can't even explain it and i loose patience right away over small things like a person trying to talk to me. LOL!

I can be really moody when I wake up I don't know why really my brain just needs time to catch up with itself I think. I often argue with my partner when I first wake up it's become a bit of joke between us how miserably and snappy I am when I first wake up.

Then you're not really different from the rest of us hehe. It must have some physical explanation, since so many people actually gets snappy when they wake up. thank you for replying.

Always and it can last a full 24 hours! lol Not really but I can be extremely moody as I am usually sore in the morning and usually awaken to the noise of my kids! I am not too bad - well I don't yell and shout I am just not always as patient as usual and go quite quiet! As long as I get a little while to come to the moodiness wears off very quickly! xxx

Whenever I get up after a complete sleep, I feel my self fresh. I start my mental work just after waking up. I feel good in performance at the moment of getting up early in the morning. But I become lazy when the time goes on to pass. I start the day with morning prayer and working at mylot. Sleep is necessary for mental and physical health and I can feel it two times. Once at the moment before going to bed and 2nd when I get up in the morning.

No I don't get moody when I wake up. I am a morning person and I love to get up early and start my day. I am up at 5am with my hubby and I make him his coffee and his lunch while he is showering. I very seldom go back to bed after he leaves. I usually stay up and log onto the computer and do some work. I have never gottne out of bed and been in a bad mood. I am always looking forward to the day ahead. My hubby wakes up grouchy sometimes and then I just don't talk to him because if he gets too grouchy he will make me grouchy. My daughter is 24 and lives on her own, but when I go stay with her, she lives in a different city, she is the crankiest person I know, when she gets up. A person can't talk to her for at least a half hour after she wakes up, till she is fully awake and in a better mood.

I"m usually not moody when I wake up. Actually come to think I am rarely moody at all heheheh
I tend to wake up in a very good disposition no matter what. Of course as the day goes by sometimes things might affect me, but I'm not much of a moody person.
Hubby on the other hand always has trouble waking up and is always a bit grumpy until he has his first coffee LOL Even though he is not generally a grumpy person.

hi LightninStrike. I am not moody when I wake up in the morning. Sometimes I really don't want to wake up, but I have to. In this situation, I feel a little uncomfortable, but I'm not moody:).
I have noticed funny thing - all my friends, who have virgo as their zodiac sign, are moody (always or from time to time) in the morning. And it's better to leave them alone hehe.
have a nice day, jazgottt.

Usually, when I get up in the morning, I have a cheerful mood. It's much easier for me to get through the day without a frown pasted on my face. But there's only one thing that will certainly put me in a bad mood the moment that I wake up. And that is, a major headache! Very bad way to start the day. Just like today, the moment I opened my eyes, my head started throbbing. And when I have this kind of headache, I feel nauseous. But I couldn't just lie down and wait for it to go away. Because I have to make breakfast for my family and get my son ready for school. While I was doing all the chores, my husband was trying his best to avoid annoying me. Because he knows that when I have a major headache, I'm grumpy as a bear.

When it comes to me,i think morning is important to me specially the time when i wake up.Most of the time i wake up with happiness, breathing the fresh air with smile.then i will garb with singing.I will tell myself that it is the new day and forget the sadness of yesterday.Be brave and happy to face the new day.It is very useful for me to start a new happy day.
But sometimes i will wake up with sadness. If i have bad dream last night, and wake up with shock,i will not be happy.as you if i wake up by noise or my mother shake me wake,i think at that time my temper will be bad.

I'm very moody too when I wake up. It takes me about one hour or more to wake up good, so, I avoid answering phone calls, unless they are business calls. I go to the computer, nobody upset me since I woke up, but I receive stupid messages and I sometimes explode. Until I wake up good, I might be a vulcano.
