Oh my ... I also didn't think you were telling the truth here ... but a quick search confirms it!
According to msnbc its being downplayed as they are saying it poses little danger and will most likely break up in the atmosphere ...
Anyone who wants to read the story there can go here :

Thanks for posting this so we can all be aware of whats going up up above us!

Oh yes ... I surely hope they are right here and this will not cause harm to anyone!
I am not surprised though they the US govt. is trying to keep this quiet ... just think of the panic if people thought it was going to fall anywhere populated!

Yes,I heard it on the news. It's true.
A US spy satellite could hit the earth in late Feb or early Mar.Besides,it contains tons of hazardous materials, kind of rocket fuel. The US said they would shoot down the satellite by laser weapons which are used for missiles.I hope it works.
But I think it won't be much harmful to us.So don't be nervous.

Honestly I didn't believe you when I read this but upon searching I found it to be true. It is a US Spy Satellite that has lost power and could no longer be controlled. It is expected to hit the earth in late February or early March.
ABC News.com says it is unknown where it will fall.
Pretty scary stuff to me. I think most of it will burn up upon entering the earths atmosphere but not all of it.
