Here's a Funny Question to think about.. / myLot

I don't know if you've already heard this before but its really funny. I heard this from a friend when we were treated to drink some days before. Well, before the question, here's the situation: There's this Master who happens to be going to a business trip the following day. His Driver had a bad dream about his Master dying 'cause the flight that he was going to take for the business trip exploded during take-off. The Driver told this to his Master and so, the Master didn't continue with the flight that he was to take. The following day, the plane that the Master was suppose to take for the business trip indeed exploded. With everything considered, the Master gave a large amount of money to his Driver and also fired him from his job. Question: Why do you think the Master fired his Driver? I'll reply to your comments if its right or wrong ^_^

Hello ratyz5, Probably, the driver saw the dream during working hours that would mean that he was sleeping when he is supposed to be awake. If that is the case, I understand why the master would fire him even though he gave him a large amount of money. I can't think of another scenario for the moment. If it comes to mind, I'll tell you!

Well, the master fired his driver for fear of his life. The fact that the driver told his master of his bad dream, though he didn't tell him when he had this bad dream, made his master think that he has been sleeping more than he's awake. In that case, the master is afraid that his driver might fall asleep while driving and they could be in an accident.

I had that thought when I finally heard the answer. However, the reason for the Master to fire his Driver is distant from fearing his life, even though self preservation is a strong motivation for a lot of situations. Thanks for your reply ^_^

the master may think the driver is really great because he can foretell the future in his dream. he doesn't like to have such an employee with a magic power but he doesn't want to offend him. so he gives him a lagge amount of money and asks him to leave.

That does sound logical, being a master yet having a worker with more ability than that of the employer, the title "master" indeed does sound inappropriate. Unfortunately, that's not the reason why the Master fired his Driver ^_^; Thanks for responding!

was the driver also the pilot of the plane? Or did we plant the bomb? Hmmm...

Fortunately, no, the driver was not the pilot of the plane that exploded. "did we plant the bomb?" I just recalled that airports don't go well with bomb jokes ^_^;
