Is there any way of making hair grow faster? I chopped all my hair off, into a [girly] faux hawk type cut about a year ago, and have been trying to grow it out since. The cut looked cool at first, but I quickly got tired of it; I wanted to style it differenly somedays but it wasn;t long enough. It's still pretty short now, but I'm dying for long hair again.

There is a shampoo and conditioner called "Mane and Tail"(misidentified in an earlier post by someone. It is really nice. It makes your hair strong and soft, so that it will not break so easily. Also, it smells really nice. Additionally, you can take vitamin and calcium supplements. If you are healthier, your hair and skin are healthier.

i know that nioxin shampoo is recommended to cancer patients to help regrow their hair after chemo. your situation might not be anywhere near that dire - but it still if it promotes hair growth, it might be worth a shot. of course, if you're not willing to wait for your hair to grow at all, maybe you could get extensions??

You'll need to see an herbalist to find out what the name of the product is but it's the thing that makes nails stronger that also makes the hair grow fast as well. My mother told me about it and that she was taking it which did make her nails stronger but being that she has short hair and didn't want it to grow out, it did grow faster so she had to quit taking the pills. Good luck!

Vitamin E is an option, along with Vitamin C but I'm refering to increasing them in your diet. Well, you could try direct application to the hair, I've seen plenty of people use all sorts of home remedies for various health issues.

Not really anyway to make your hair grow faster. Just make sure you don't have built up in your hair. You don't want to block hair folicles.
I've been somewhat lucky as my hair grows back fast.
What does your hair look like now? Whats a girly faux hawk?
If you really want long hair you can try extensions or even just a few hair pieces in key areas.
Do you have a pic at all.
I have had my hair buzzed twice. Once I had short blue spikey hair in the back and long black bangs in the front. It was growing out and I wanted normal hair so I tried to cut it myself with scissors. I cut so deep that in order to fix it I had to buzz it.
The second time I buzzed my hair it was because I had a mohawk. My hair was growing in arond the mohawk and I didn't want it anymore. So I cut off the mohawk part. My hair ended up being an inch long.

I wish I knew- I had cancer and lost all of my hair last year- twice. :( But I'm great now- and my hair grew back in healthier than ever. But it's still short and it isn't growing very fast- I'll keep my eye on this discussion- very interesting.

Wash your hair more frequently. It`s said that hair will grow more quickly by pulling when it`s wet.
