Do You Have Noisy Neighbors?

I'm currently spending most of my time in an apartment and our girl neighbors on one side of us don't make much noise. The guys on our side of the apartment however are terrible. Pounding on our wall, screaming, playing loud video games, and probably some other things.

luckily -- even if we do have neighbors, our houses are built far apart from each other. plus we live in a neighborhood we call "a country hidden in a city" it's nice because we can turn the stereo up to the maximum volume level, dance and sing our hearts out without worrying about somebody yelling at us for the noise we make. and of course vice versa, they can do anything they want without disturbing us when we are in a quiet mode. when we are in a silent mood, all we here are the birds chirping, our dogs scratching (hehehe) and of course the sound of our own voice. thank God we never have to deal with noisy neighbors.

we really don't have any noisy neighbors. most of them are my relatives and they don't make a fuss at night. even those who are not our relatives don't make a fuss. it only becomes noisy if there are occasions like birthdays, fiestas, or anything worth celebrating. and we don't take it against each others since we all do it once in a while. ^__^ the only noisy beings at nights are the neighbors' cats! at times when they are mating they really drive me crazy! .

Yes we do. They are rowdy teenagers who think they can do whatever they want. They hang out in front of our house talking loudly. They play ball in front of our house. They play loud music. They have parties until early morning singing on their karaoke. Some people can be so inconsiderate.

Though most of our neighbors are peaceful people with whom you love to share a word and dont ever cause problems, we have those who are really noisy. They always have music loud, even if its noon time or late at night, they invite friends at home and act like teens who are having a party for first time, they shout at each other.Furthermore, they tend to swear at their teen kids, with words that are embarrassing to hear.I am swearing too, but i wouldnt swear like this towards my children, its awful.

MY neighbors are really noisy all they do is party and play loud music. There is people always going in and out all hours of the day and night and police have been called numerous times but nothing has been done to stop the noise though so that is why I am moving next month to get away from it all.

i think the noises that are made by my neighbours still in tolerance level. i admit that sometimes especially if one of my neighbour has a ceremonial feast, he will invite a group of musician to liven up their celebration with music from afternoon until 12 am! of course, it so disturb my family sleep!

Nowadays my neighbors are no more noisy, fortunately. If not, be sure I will go to knock their doors and ask them to be quiet. It's so annoying and it's very bad lucky to have such kind of neighbors.

A long time ago we had a guy move in downstairs who said we would love him because he only listened to his loud music through his headphones. Little did we know that after he put on his earphones and cranked the music up, the next thing he did was to SING along with the loud music. No, he didn't just sing along, he sang over it, and the more juiced up he got, the louder he turned up the volume and the louder he sang. We'd try to reason with him and he'd say he was really sorry and the next day it would start all over. The landlord wouldn't do a thing about it so somebody I know and love but will not name for the moment took care of the problem. He put my own stereo speakers face down on the wood floor, weighted them down, covered them with all the pillows in the house, put a couple comforters on top, waited until the guy was asleep and then turned my speakers on full blast with some music kids wouldn't like grabbed my hand and yanked me out of there, locking the door behind. We went to the movies, ate at a restaurant, did some shopping and when we got back the guy was all packed and was just leaving, never to annoy us again. "You win," he said, and drove off, never to be seen again, at least not by us.

same to you~~~ i rent a room in a house, but my neighbout also noisy, a girl and a guy, they are brother and sister. Every moring they are in the living room talk or dispute,the sound is very loudly, then i will wake up at 6:00am, until they goto school, i can sleep again.

When my hubby and I lived in an apartment we had a VERY noisy neighbor. She would blast her stereo at 4 am almost every day.The people who ran the complex were of no help either.They declared it a personal dispute and it was a hands off situation for them. Now we own a house. Much better! But we do have a neighbor whose car stereo will be blasting at all hours. More neighbors all over the block complain about that. So it stays quiet for longer periods of time.

I play the drums so I guess I am the one that makes the most noise, so I don't really mind if the neighbors talk loud because I'm even louder than them! lol.

agghh I live in a college dorm right now... so the walls are paper thin. Which sucks. My neighbors are really loud. Definitely. EVERY NIGHT. WITHOUT FAIL. They start talking as soon as I want to go to bed REALLY REALLY loudly. It drives me nuts.

you should inform them that you have trouble sleeping. try to scare them by warning them to call the cops ( but dont do if necessary) or just hang out with them and get used to it.

I do have noisy neighbors and it drives me nuts also. All night long, the lady next door has her t.v. blaring. My head is right next to the wall where the t.v is. If I move my bed to the only other wall, I get the old lady next door who cranks her t.v. on very early in the morning. The guy below me parties until the wee hours of the morning. I have tried ear plugs and it is hard when you have to get up for work early in the morning. A bit more consideration would be nice although some people think "just get used to it" The way i see it is that after hours, this noise pollution is crowding my space and I make it known. Not that it has made much difference. What gets me is that the old lady next door moved in and granted she is a sweet gal but right after she moved in, I was told, by management to take down my wind chime because it bother the old gal next door, that her hearing aid was sensitive to the chiming. I did remove the wind chime. I just figure, whatever and carry on. If I am tired enough I can sleep through anything sooner or later.

oh yes, i have my share of those noisy ones and it is getting in my nerves and considering they are nr\ew in out\r neighborhood. they do not have that sense o respect for others peace of mind , they just do what they feel like doing which is very annoying. what i do is to make a complain to our village administrators concerning them because if i confront them ,they would just do not mind me or worst , they might terrorize my home one way or the other.if there will be a lot who would complain against them them then the administrators would make action on the situation.

I live in the same apartment as highflyer and she forgot to mention the oh so wonderful people above us that seem to run constantly around their apartment. It's irksome but it is better than not having a place to stay during college.

Hello wondericequeen, Lucky that I don't have noisy neighbors *smiles* My nearest neighbors are a senior couple and my own sister's family. My sister has two young sons and they don't make so much noise. I have no problem with them at all *laughs*

When we lived in an apartment, our neighbors were so noisy! We lived on the first floor, and could always hear the people above us on the second floor. The would start doing laundry at 11:00 at night when we were trying to sleep - so we would get woken up by the washing machine and dryer. And sometimes they would get up really early on the weekends and start making tons of noise. Then the people beside us would blare their stereo. It was horrible! I couldn't wait to move into a house. I found the noise, and stomping around upstairs made me very anxious and jumpy over time. It was hard to relax and enjoy life in that environment. Now that we're in a house it's great! We have privacy and quiet when we want it. The neighbors have to be really, really loud before we can hear them! And it noise isn't a regular occurance, so it's really easy to tolerate the odd time that it is noisy. I hope your neighbors aren't as noisy as ours were in our apartment!

I live in a end apartment only 1 nabor beside me,Hardly ever hear anything,except when there leaving there apt, I live on the 3 rd floor,to avoid most the noise lol. But I feel for you, lived in a duplex once years ago where you could hear everything. lol
