Do you have to stop what you are doing to concentrate on listening to your favorite songs? I do! I could do whatever I am doing when the CD is playing, but when my favorite comes, I need to stop and concentrate on the songs! *laughs* Just wondering if you are the same!

I actually do something similar to what you do...like right now I am listening to "every other weekend" by kenny chesney and reba and as soon as it came on I automatically stopped what i was doing for a few seconds and started to really listen to the words of the song...I really like that song and whenever it does come on I just stop what i am doing and start to listen to the song...and then ill slow down with whatever im doing and as soon as the song goes off i am back to what i am doing full speed...funny how that happens!

hi wondericequeen! ^__^
if i hear my favorite song in the radio, computer, cd, or wherever, i would take time to listen to it for a while (especially during the chorus) sing a long with it for a few lines and then go back to what i was doing. ^__^ sometimes it just takes my mind off from what i was doing. LOL sometimes i tend to enjoy whatever i was doing if my favorite song is on the background. ^__^

Yes when the songs are played in the background, they tend to make what we are doing seem more enjoyable *smiles*.

Not really. I just turn it up and rock out to the song. I really get into my favorite songs sometimes when they start playing. I really like being able to listen to them and sing as loud as I want when I want. It's a great stress reliever.

Well I don't have a favorite song, but obviously there are many songs that mean many things to me. Some of them remind you of someone, or of a certain memory, some good and some bad, so sometimes it's intense enough for me to stop what I'm doing to focus on the music.

Yes that's very true! I stop sometimes when I am reminded of something or someone, and I will take my moment *laughs*.

Hello wondericequeen,
Do you have this habit recently or since a long time ago? *laughs* As for me, I am an emotional person. Whenever I listen to my favorite song(s), I will stop and concentrate on the lyric (like it was written personally for me!) Did I tell you that I had a 'special' habit of emailing the memorable lyric of songs to my then boyfriend (now my husband...)? He thought that I was crazy and too emotional that time and the sad part was, he seldom read it! He told me after we got married *laughs*

*laughs* I have this habit for a long time. Whenever I hear my favorites, I need to stop! Too bad that he didn't really read the lyrics *laughs*, they could mean so much!

yes, it's always strange for me when i hear a song that means something to me in a context i'm not expecting. like while shopping at the grocery store or being used in a tv show or movie. it'll basically just stop me in my tracks without me even meaning to. it's like i don't even have a choice about concentrating!
