Do you believe you were put on Earth for a purpose?

If so what purpose do you think you were put here for? Have you fulfilled most of that purpose in life yet? I always believe I was put here to help people. When I was thinking what I wanted to do in life as a career, I did not mind as much as long as my work was helping people in some way. I first tried to get into police force years ago as I wanted to try and help make this world a better place, free of crime. However did not get into the police force. I thought about being a nurse, to help save lives. Although do not think my stomach could handle some of the things they see. Now I found my purpose teaching, helping shape the future. I really feel like that is what I a am meant to be doing. Whenever I teach I feel happy and I look forward to going to work each day.
What are your views on your purpose in life?
Or do you think we do not have a purpose in life?

I believe in Reincarnation, or life after life. I've seen a few of my past lives during Meditation, and this hes been quite enlightening. I wasn't put here. I chose to come. I chose my parents and my place of birth. I'm here because I love the challenge. There is nothing else as challenging or as Much fun as life in the Physical.

Wow I would love to be able to see what past lives I have had. Is there anyway we can all see our past lives through meditation? I have heard that we choose our parents before we are born, I find that fascinating. You sound like a very positive person that lives life to the fullest. Hope you find many challenges in life that you can succeed in. Thanks for your response.

Singing is a great purpose, bringing joy to people's lives. I love to sing too, I am okay, however not that good where I can sing in pubs etc. Tarot reading is also great, I often get readings done. If I have it done by the right person,I feel at peace knowing what my future holds. Do you do tarot readings online at all?

Teaching - what a noble profession indeed! Like you I also want to help people and I even thought about being a teacher but I don't think I can stomach rowdy kids/teenagers. So I'll just have to do it some other way, maybe like Warren Buffett who's donating so much to charity.
I believe my purpose in life is to take care of my family and whoever else I can help.

Thanks, teaching is a great profession, very purposeful. If you don't know if you can handle rowdy kids there are ways around it. For example have you ever thought about teaching at school of air. Teach kids via radio, that could be very rewarding. I like it how you said your purpose in life is to take care of your family, what a great purpose. Thanks for your reply.

I think that everyone was put on this earth for a purpose sometimes people just don't figure out the purpose is...I haven't yet figured out what I have been put here for(like in the business department) I think that we were all put here for a purpose though...I think that there is a perfect job for us outthere and a perfect husband or wife for everyone out there you just have to look long enough before you....I think that those are just a few things that tell us that we are all put on this earth for a special reason!

So true, I wish you all the best in finding your purpose. I am sure you will find that purpose soon enough. Look at what you are most passionate about in life, that will probably give you a clue. I like the sounds of a perfect wife or husband, some people are lucky to have found this person earlier on in life. Thanks for your comments. Have a great day.

definitely yes... i was created by God in His Image to enjoy and glorify Him forever... that is the sole purpose... also, He created me to do His will on this earth... i am striving to do both of these in my life...

Yes, I do believe that we have a purpose, if we choose to volunteer for it. If we do not, there seems to be some sorrow but it is not held against us. When we do agree to serve, we may often feel that what we are asked to do is more than what we are capable of but this can be seen as a test of our faith and, in fact, we will have whatever help and strength is neccessary in order to be successful.

I am not sure whether there is a specific purpose (in the sense of a 'calling' to a particular profession or activity) for everyone. We follow a path in our lives. At some point we realise that that path seems to be heading in a particular direction. That realisation may be before or after we understand our relationship with the Creator (and the way that each of us meets Him is different for everyone - for some it seems like something one has known all along; for others it can be a soul-churning flash of light). In talking of a 'purpose' most people would understand, I think, that it is something given to us from outside ... but I may be wrong. I should be interested to know if an atheist can speak of or accept a 'purpose'. If there is any one thing that I can declare to be my 'purpose', it is "to love God". Put like that, it may sound as vague and, at the same time, as obvious to a religious person as the command to breathe or eat, however, it was the answer I received when I asked what 'my purpose' was, so it is all I can offer in answer!

... and, yes, I am happy with it. It has led me into many surprising and breath-takingly beautiful places which many might think unconventional.

Thanks for your response. Was wondering if you know what your purpose in life is? Do you like your purpose?

My purpose is to be like Christ and to love Him with all my life - that is my most important purpose. The next important one will be to make a difference in this world - a real difference.
I believe that a person's life isn't limited to just having a family and reaching for his dreams and ambitions. I believe that each of us was made to make a difference.
As a victim of child abuse, it is one of my desires to help those who is undergoing and underwent child abuse. I want to help them get up and continue their life with a new perspective that is filled with love and faith.
I know that it is very difficult to achieve such idealistic plan to help the world become a better place. but I think it's worth the try.

I believe our purpose is to worship God in spirit, to do the works of the Father, to save as many souls as possible. Also to be a servant to God, to help people, the poor, the sick, the mentally Ill, the widow, the orphan, the stranger. To be a good example to the world, to be like Jesus, willing to lay your life down for someone else. To take up your cross and follow Jesus, to forsake the material world, to gain the Kindom of Heaven.

Everyone in this world really has a purpose. As for me, I'm still young and really still don't know what is my purpose in life. Maybe in the years to come I'll be more mature and encounter some experiences which I can find and know what's my purpose here on Earth.
