Hello to all of my dear friends. Because of the bad and icy weather in the past few days, four days exactly, we did not have power or electricity to use both in the day and at night. The electricity came to us only after four o'clock this afternoon, (February 4th, 2008). We are told that we will have to share the electricity with other districts of the city at different hours of the day in the following days, which means that we will have broken power or electricity in the next few days. It is so bad to have bad weather that has damaged our transformer of the province. During these days my family slept a lot. We got up as late as ten in the morning and went to sleep as early as after seven in the evening because of having no power. I have never slept as many hours as 14 or 15 hours a day. lol. I hope that we will be lucky to have always power from now on. So how is your place? Are you having smooth electricity every day? How many hours have you slept a day? I am afraid that I am among the one who has slept too many hours a day. lol.

Hi my good friend, Sir William. I hope you have read my email to you, I mean, my latest email and you know why I have to sleep for 15 hours per day. Either it goes for one sleep time or in cumulative order. Anyway, that's good to have sleep for long hours in cold weather or season. You know why? For our heart to take 'rest' from stress and strain. Especially when our metabolic rate is high at rest period, so that the unnecessary fats burn naturally for body usage. Happy Postings and Earnings, Sir William. HAPPY DAPPY.

Yeah.....my good friend, I had been banned by PLP(Problem Loading Page) for one and a half month(almost 2 months, Laurika. So many related problem from my previous PLP, some responders misinterpret for my multiple responses which were out of my mind to do that such way. They rated me with -ve mark, that was why my star had fallen down to silver7 from red9....aaaggghhh...what a sigh!!! and now only done for yellow8. I'm just re-active on mylot for these two(2) days. Don't worry, I will re-enjoy back to your discussion, seems, PLP no longer exist and I hope it gone forever....I hate PLP and 'time-out' problem. Anyway, nice meeting you here, Laurika.....cheeeeerrrssss!!! HAPPY DAPPY.

Good morning, good sign and laurika. I am very happy to see you both, my dear friends, in the same topic of mine, greeting each other. I am sorry to know that goodsign is still having some problem loading page, which is so discouraging. And now I see why you could sleep as many hours as 15 a day. I hope that you are fine now and stay healthy as always, my dear goodsign.

Just lying down in the bed is not considered as sleeping. When I was in distribution work, at times I had to ensure that all supplies are completed on the day the order is taken. In such evetns, it used to be 2 a.m. when I get back home and slept at 3 a.m. only to get up at 2 p.m. -- 11 hours. If people have the deinfite sleeping hours, normal sleep will be alright. Only when one works hard, works for longer hours, when they skp previous day sleep, one would tend to sleep say 12 to 15 hours. One one sleeps more no. of hours, again sleeping pattern is disturbed. That is not advisible, since it will have its repurcussions on health, food habits etc.

When my parents were alive, they never used to keep the bed made up during the day time to prevent people (family members) to lie down. They used to roll the bed and pile it up. Looks strange but it looks so meaningful and well thought of. Humans day by day are seeking too much of freedom, whenever one sees the bed any time of the day, feels like lying down and might get fast asleep.

LOL what a fun and timely discussion. I have to admit to have spent a LOT of this past weekend sleeping and it's nothing to do with the weather but to do with me feeling under the weather. I slept about 7 hours Friday night and then 3 hours on Saturday morning and 2 hours on Saturday afternoon, Saturday night I slept 7 hours and 5 hours during Sunday morning and afternoon and last night I slept 7 hours again! Today at work I feel wide awake and reall refreshed as I missed out on a lot of sleep last week, maybe my body was just catching up hehe!

Hello dear qiao. I agree that sleeping too long is no good to health and it will make our body in disorder. I do not sleep that many hours, only when we had no electricity at home because of the natural disaster that caused the damage of the electricity. Thank you very much for your response, my dear qiao.

HELLO WILLIAM! Well I am a pretty embarased to say that I am a very lazy person. In my school days, I used to sleep around 10 hours a day, as I have to wake up early in the morning. Now, when I have passed out my school, I have become quite lazy. Since my college starts at afternoon, I sleep all morning till 10am...... My routine is realy spoiled and is very disturbing for my family members. They keep shouting on me that I should change my daily routine and wake up early in the morning, specialy my sweet mother! Now I sleep around 12 hours a day that is quite a long piece of time for sleeping. Well, this was about my daily routine....... I still remeber the day when I slept around 15 hours(same as you my freind). Actually, I went to a late night party that day and got realy tired. I slept around 4 am that day and woke up around 6 pm in the evening. It was a very long time period to sleep. I think sleeping is good foor health, so no matter how much you sleep but finish all your work on that day first, then sleep as much you want!!!

Hello dear friend. Yeah, I can understand how much you liked to sleep in your school days. I think that students are kept very busy at school from early morning till evening. It is the same with my son, who has to get up early in the morning to get prepared to go to school for morning reading and come back home to have lunch with only about 1.5 to 2 hours and then go back to school and come back home to have dinner and then go back to school again for evening study till 9:20pm. So on weekends and holidays, I ask my wife to let him sleep as much as he can to make up for some lost sleeping hours. So this winter vacation, he has really had a very good sleep every day till like ten to ten thirty in the morning. I miss having a good sleep during holidays as well. Thanks very much for your response, my dear friend.

I feel sorry about the heavy snow fall in China weeks back when the spring festival is around the corner. I hope everything is back to normal now. Besides, I feel really grateful that we have the continuous power supply over here, which I had been taking for granted so far. I realized the importance of the electricity to our daily life, and usually I try my best to cut down the usage as part of the effort of environmental preservarence. The lesser we use, the lesser the fuel is needed to generate the electricity. Indirectly the green house effect could be reduced. My electrc bill is only RM30~40, compared to RM80~100 in my friend's house. (But it's also because I am living alone LoL) When talking about the longest sleep I ever had, it's like almost 14 hours. It's because I was playing games till dawn 7am and fall into soundly sleep the whole following day until 9pm at night. I thought it was long enough but still lesser than what you just had.

Our civilization relies heavily on electricity. Now is like we couldn't do anything at all when the power is down. I experienced a black out one morning without electricity in my company one day. We couldn't do anything at all in the office for hours. But I was glad that we were having some good free time to chit chat with fellow employees and even our managers. Besides, it was a good chance for us to relax and cool our mind down, amid our hectic and buzy daily life in the company.

Yeah, everything is back to normal now. We got back our electricity six days later. How important it is to have electricity in our daily life and work, without which, it is so inconvenient and boring as there are so many things that need to be done with the help of the necessary electricity.

So, you had an undeclared holiday! good for you and family William. Atleast you could rest, courtesy: faulty eletric supply. *Laughs* Jokes apart, I think that's what even I would have done as well. No television, no water supply, no electricity...what could be more life paralysing! In our place we used to get heavy load shedding in phases. But of late things have improved quite a lot with the new power station coming up. A lot of work gets pending and delayed due to corruption in the government. I am sorry to say this but the money alloted gets mis utilised before actually being used for the purpose! Anyway, we have 1-2 hour of power failure everyday. It increases most of the time but never comes under it. I just hope you all are over it by now. I am sure WIlliam is now as busy as it gets with his students. Have a great day. Thanks William.

Oops I forgot. I have slept for about 10-12 hours at the most and that too not at a stretch. You know what, whenever I have a long holiday and I plan an all sleepout day, I just couldn't sleep! I think, the best sleep we get is when we are too tired and worked up. *laughs*

Hello dear mimpi. I am very happy to inform you that we started to have our electricity six days later. The soldiers and the government have helped a lot in maintaining the damaged transformer by the snow and ice. It took them more than twenty days to completely fix all the problems cause by ice and snow this year, which is considered to be the heaviest in the past forty years. So far, so good. Yeah, my wife and I really had a very good sleep during the days without electricity. We chatted and chatted and...till we fell asleep and got up the next day. I miss the long-sleeping hours. Back home, I was really very busy during the day as we had so many relatives to visit and busy at night as well. lol Now I am back to school and have started my new-term work. I am also very happy to be back to school. Thanks very much for your response, dear friend.

Hi dear jisir, I am so sorry to learn that you had suffered the bad and icy weather in the past few days. The worst thing was no power supply in the day and the night. We modern man would be handicapped without electricity. I feel relieved we I know that at least you got the power rationing in your city. I hope you would get the full supply very soon. Hi my dear friend, could be able to sleep a lot is a good thing. This could help you to past time in a rather relaxed manner. I don’t thing I could break your record. I only sleep for 12 hours the longest. Here we rarely experienced power breakage as here doesn’t have severe weathers. Anyhow we did experience occasionally short period of breakage and caused much inconvenient. Hopping you and your family will have sufficient power supply to celebrate the spring festival. With best wishes and good luck, my dear friend.

Good morning, dear lkbooi. Thanks to the help of the government, we had electricity on the new year eve so that we had electricity to watch the grand TV program for the Spring Festival and I watched it through with my wife and my son till close to one in the early morning. But later in the day, no electricity again because of the power rationing in the city. It is ok now because the damaged electrical infrastructure has been already fixed in our province. Thank you very much for your concern and happy Spring Festival, my dear friend.

HI, Sleeping was really enjoyed when I was in college days as the classes were at 10.00 am and it was not complesary to attend those classes I used to sleep more time during that days. Later I do not remember how much hours but I had slept for one and half day after I went for a holiday tour to Munnar a holiday place in India and while we came I was unable to sleep for whole night and also I was so tried that some I could only reach my home and after that I just went to my bed. But after that sleep I felt too energetic.

Hi, I am glad that my husband's town is having a smooth electricity as I can't sleep without air-conditioned. Only when I was small back at my hometown, I also encounter blackout very often and sometimes it took about half a day to get it done...terrible !! When it was blackout, I can't sleep well that whole night, I have to sleep on the floor as the weather is so hot. I hardly sleep more than 10 hours a day now...how I wish I can have it. SInce I have a child, I never sleep more than 10 hours because my son will wake me up once he is awake. The most I can sleep is for about 8 hours in a day. Only when I was single, then I can sleep about 12 hours in a day..because I have nothing to worry and noone is disturbing me,so I am getting myself recharge before starting my new day.

Hello shia. I see that it is not that easy to have a good sleep when you have a small kid, especially when he or she wakes up. Now it is winter again. I like to sleep in the warm blanket earlier and am not that happy to get up earlier because of the cold outside. Yet I have to as I have to go to work early. Stay warm, shia.

Hello dear plumwish. I can understand how you feel because sometimes when I take a train home and while I can not get a berth ticket, but a seat ticket, I also feel my trip tiring and it exhausting. Just on the 16th, Feb I took a train back to my school and I was so exhausted and tired on the train as I could not have a good sleep while sitting all the way. It took me two days to get recovered to normal status of mine. Thank you very much for the response, my dear friend. Have a good day.

Hello dear cefaz. I can see that you miss the sleeping hours again, especially when you have worked very hard every day. It is exactly the same to me.
