It seems that with so many ways to meet people online, gaining friends, building your own webpage, your own site, keeping connected with family members or your love ones social networking has grown sky rocket high in popularity. We all know the most popular one that has been around for a fews to date back which is Myspace. This was the first I have ever heard of social networking in 2005 and I got hooked into using it. Another well known social networking site is popular to many filipinos known as Friendster. Less similar to Myspace, but it's still another way to meet friends, contact people and fix your layout with pictures. But then now another thing that social networking sites are now doing as you all know or not - There are sites that offer money and pay those for using social networking. Since the middle of 2007 a social networking site known as Yuwie has started growing in numbers. This site of course is a lot like Myspace, except this site you get paid by other user's visiting your site, you gain page views, profile views, those who read your blogs, leave you comments and so on. Now there are many more coming along the way, to say competition or trying to offer better sources and pay such as Narple, Capazoo, Big Crumb and MyViewIn. Sites like these have certain limits and some don't on what you do. You get paid by points and then again there are more earnings when you refer people. Then again we always wonder if social networking sites that pay are really legit until someone has actually gotten paid and had the proof. Now if you were going to ask me which one I prefer - well for one a social networking place to make your own discussions, make your own blogs, having a much fun and safer place to add friends and read their own discussions and get paid I have to go with Mylot. How about you? Which social networking sites would you consider and why?

I think that I have to agree with you social networks have really became really popular in the past so many years...its like everyone today has a myspace or facebook page...I think that i am going to have to agree with you on another thing too...that I defiently like mylot.com alot better than any other site because there are really nice people on here that are willing to help you with whatever problem you have and you get to help and you also get to help others....I think the only site I would even consider working for is makemoneykingdom and thats only because they pay you...

Yes I forgot to mention about facebook and makemoneykingdom, but I also agree with you on your point about Mylot. And too there are nice people that join here, not having to worry about flame threads or people insulting or mocking like some other sites do. Thanks for your response

Social networking has indeed blossomed of late, increasingly so over these past few years, thanks to the proliferation of the internet, more people coming online and technologies allowing online discussions, exchange of information and sharing of images and video. This technology implementation has brought the world closer together, and it is amazing how people across the world can be exchanging views and ideas almost in real time. For people who are overseas and away from their families, it is a good way to keep in touch. It is a great way to make new friends, as well as locate your long lost friends for some people. For me, my favorite social networking site is myLot. This is a friendly place and I like the discussions. Here, I am "talking" to people from the US, Philippines, India, Australia and elsewhere, people whom I do not even really know in real life, yet we can "talk" and exchange views like we have known each other for a long time. I can see that the social networking phenomenon will only grow more extensively in years to come.

I think social networking is an excellent way to reach out to others. Whether you want to ask a question that you might be too embarrased to ask someone you know, or keep in touch with family and loved ones (most of us have family who live far away from us), or simply make new friends, social networking is a great place for all of those things. They all pretty much offer the same basic means of communication to achieve these goals. The question for me is whether the sites that pay you to use them make you want to respond only for the money, or if you are genuinely interested in the site as apposed to those sites that do not pay you. If you had two identical sites, one that pays and one that doesn't, which would you choose???????
