My first report for inappropriate content

As most of you may have noticed, I am pretty layed back and I don't find much I think I should have to report, but I just did and to tell you the truth I am not ashamed of it. Not only did I find the material of their discussion inappropriate, but also the pictures they had posted. I am no goodie two shoes by a long shot, but there is a place and time for everything. As far as I am concerned this isn't that place. And since its on my time, I take issue with that too. Don't worry if you are are on my friends list, it wasn't you. LOL.

Anyways, good for you. Hopefully myLot will do something about it. When I first joined in November the one member actually threatened to kill me. I reported him and he was banned from the site so I guess reporting does work sometimes.

No, it certainly wasn't you. And I can't believe someone would actually threaten you like that. Thats awful, but I"m really glad they were banned.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it either! Some people really need to take it easy and realize that not everyone sees eye-to-eye on things. It's ignorant people like that who cause wars and killing in this world.

grins, lucky to know that i wasn't them. hehe but yes, if the contents are really inappropriate, then we should so that so that they will know in the future that those contents are not appreciated here. and of course, each one has his/her own opinions so to each his/her own.

yes, i agree. the post that you talked about earlier on can be really offensive to most. so it's a good thing that there's someone who's ready to report on those kinds of post. so be out police inspector k. grins. hehehe

Good for you! Newbies don't know what is acceptable to discuss unless those of us in the know tell them. That would be like one of us starting a discussion about our exes boyparts. Just a smidge rude and offensive to those who possess aforementioned parts.
Maybe this use will take this as constructive criticism and helpful advice and post something earth-shatteringly wonderful next time. And it will be all thanks to you! Well done! :)

I think you did the right thing.
I've reported people in the past for posting things that I thought were over the top. Usually it's because of blatantly racist or sexist posts. I think people think they can get people upset they'll get more responses, so it's good to see that it backfires on them.

Yes I thought the topic was very sexist. I actually think he was newer to mylot than myself, but why not stop it in its tracks right from the start.

Good work reporting that. You'll run into more of it though, believe me.
Seems like when you defeat one troll, three others pop up in due time. -_-
Other than that, the lot is a pretty nice place.

I reported a discussion by a woman who was just being outright rude. Upon further inspection of her profile, I found her to be rude and obnoxious and was following certain myLot members around posting nasty and vicious comments about them. I reported her and ACTUALLY GOT A RESPONSE BACK FROM MYLOT. It was a generic message that said they'd look into her behavior and they don't like it when members get rude.
I just checked her profile. She made a few posts this morning and one this afternoon, but nothing since.

Well good for you. I"ve noticed that kind of behavior in someone here, but I have a feeling they literally just don't have a clue. I think that their life is so small that this site is literally their life and they are sharing their misery with others.

At the end of the day my friend this is after all a family site so minors can get to see what some adults think suitable for some, I think we all have a limit as to what we see as acceptable and when someone oversteps the mark they do need to be told, politely that what they are doing is unacceptable and is causing offence, so that they know not to do it again. I think most of us here are broad minded but there is always that fine line. Sure have fun but not at expense of others.

When it defames women, I take offense and since it is a family site, posting pictures of weed on your profile is even less appropriate.

Thank you. I really take offense to men who think its ok to talk about women like they are of little consequence. Come on guys, have a little more respect than that. I believe there is special sites for that kind of stuff.
