Hi, I'm so sorry to hear that. My heart goes out to you in your time of need. I wish you the best of luck in trying to cope with your loss. I've only had my grandfather die and it was a pretty ruff time. I'm not good with advice on this sort of thing. I guess you just have to think of it like he's in a better place and probabley happier now. :( It get's easier as time passes. That's all I can say is time. Good luck and I wish you the best.

First off I am sorry to hear that hun.
Second, one breath at a time.
Third, with close family and friends.
Try to write out your feelings, don't hold back the tears, allow time to heal the wound, and if someone creates a situation where you feel you are uncomfortable then move away from the person and take deep breaths.

Hey Ainge. Thanks for the advice. I've been taking lots of deep breaths lately LOL. I also started writing in a journal when I first heard my father was ill. That's the hardest part. We only found out about 2 weeks ago that he had cancer and then he's gone. Deep breaths. Thanks for listening :)

I apologize for you recent loss Butterflygrl.
In time, the wounds, the pain, the emptyness will subside. It won't completely disappear however. The thought of that person being gone will still remain somewhere. But, you'll cope, you'll find your own way to do this. Whatever it maybe, you should be the one to decide it and go through with it. If you need time alone, take it. If you want company, ask. If you need to cry and be sad, it has to be done. If you need to shout, let it out.

Thank you very much for the advice. I wish others thought the way you do. My mom goes to work and has people tell he "be happy", "smile it's not you, why are you so upset"? They really have no sympathy. It's sad, some people are just clueless. Thanks again for your words. :)

Hi,
Passing away of a loved one is always very tough .
It is not an easy time .
However;you must keep your calm;provide support to your other Family Members, do not despair and think of future.
Also try Meditation, Prayers etc as they calm us in our everyday life .
