What do you do when you forget your cell phone?

I think it's crazy how much we rely on cell phones and simple stuff. I was 45 mins from my house once when I realized I forgot it, so what did I do? You guessed it, I turned my cute lil car around and went back to get it. I just think back to the days when all my friends and I had were pagers and we all had that cool pager code so you could write things and the other person could read them. So no let me ask you this, what do you do when you forget your phone?

When it's not lost. I don't worry about it. Only when I need to call or somebody needs to call me. I can't stop thinking about my cell phone. Nowadays I always have it with me wherever I go. It becomes a necessity or like a habit.

It depends on where I'm heading when I forgot it. If I'm just going shopping or running errands, then I dont worry about it, it has voice mail. If I'm going to work, then I swing back by my house on my way to a job location and pick it up, only because we all use walkie talkie at work, so I need my phone for that.

heh. i rarely ever remember to take my cell phone with me, and if i take it with me, there is a 99 to 100 chance that i forgot to charge the batteries. if its really important, they'll leave a message, or ring my home phone, so why panic, really?

i also go back for my cellphone if i forgot it in our house. i just can't pass an hour without my cellphone because i would be bothered by the thought that someone might be calling me or sent me a message asking for a very important thing. i don't like missing out on something important and i don't like people thinking that i can't be contacted with a number i gave them. especially if its my boss that's calling me. i can't afford to miss it because she'll surely be angry at me and i don't want that to happen. ^__^;;

hmm i think it depends. unless i am expecting an important phone call or what not and if i forgot my mobile and i'm not too far away from home i might turn back to get my phone. if not then i'll just do without my phone for the day.

I don't panic when I forgot my cellphone because I know it will not be lost. You will really feel crazy when you rely too much on your cellphone.

I would just keep driving. :) To me it's not worth the gas to go back. I have gone phoneless all day before. It's kinda nice to have a day that's not interrupted but trivial things. :)

Hello, I hardley ever forget my cell, but if I do it depends how far away from home I'am. I only really use it once a day to call hubby when I'm on my break; but I like to have it just in case something happened and I need to call someone.

hardly ever do i forget my phone. but when i do, i have to go back and get it. its like my lifeline. you never know what might happen while your out and you might need to call someone. iv never been 45 minutes away before then i realized i forgot it. if i was by myself, then i would go back and get it. but if i was with someone else who had a phone, then i really wouldn't worry to much about it.

Although my cell phone is an important part of communication for me, I can still function without it, in my wallet, I keep a printout of my current phone list that is stored on my cellphone as well, I think make it a point to check my voice mail regularly through the day from another phone, and with the phone list I carry with me, I can get in touch with anyone I need, although it is an inconvenience, it is not the end of the world.

I know what you mean I IDK what I would do without my phone sometimes. ITs my Watch Calculator My tool to talk to people in class and basically I feel werid without it. Im a college Student and the first thing I do when I lose my phone is yell " SOMEONE CALL ME" because I know everyone around me has one they can call it and I will find it sooner or later....unless its on silent.....

If I'm still in the driveway then I'll come back in the house and get it. But if I'm already down the road then I don't come back and get it. I just figure it will be there when I get back home. I don't talk on mine all the time though. And if someone calls me then they'll leave a message and I'll call them back.

Being the stay-at-home type of person that I am, jenn, I don't choose to own a cell phone. I don't particularly like them either as I think they are invasive and overused. They are nice to have for emergencies, but I wouldn't like the idea of anyone being able to contact me at all times -for no good reason.

If I forget my cell, I normally just keep going to wherever I'm going, whether I'm ten minutes or forty-five minutes from my house. I'll call and check my messages every now and then, but beyond calling my sitter to let her know to call me at work instead of my cell, it's not a huge deal. Unless I'm expecting an important call or I feel unsafe in a particular area, of course.

When I forget my phone, I usually borrow a friend's cellphone and text my mom to make sure it is there at home, and not lost on the way. Then I would ask her to keep it in a safe place so that the kids won't play with it, and break it. But I'd feel weird the entire day without my phone. And when I get back home, I'd be totally relieved to hold it in my hands again. heheh.

I operate quite well and when I reach home I return those missed calls. People know my office number anyway so if I miss that call I get it at the office.

I guess I'm with everyone else when I say I'd just shrug it off and not worry about it. I use it so little, anyway, and have racked up 920 minutes on it--they roll over every month if I don't use them. It's nuts how much people depend on phones and rarely let themselves have a moment where nobody can reach them. I don't see how they maintain their sanity!
