my husband does this - he watches DVDs and screams at the characters....
he's right behind you - come on turn around - I said she is right behind you, sheesh.... idiot....argh look behind you already! ITS ABOUT TIME!!! should've listened to me to begin with!!!
sometimes I find it humorous, most of the time it agitates me because it can be so loud.

I've been known to talk to the characters in shows before. Like "what are you doing!" or "Look out!" LOL. But, I don't watch sports except for figure skating and some of the summer olympics, so can't say I've screamed at a coach or referee before.

I never used to do that and thought like you, "As if they can hear you Hello." Well tonight I nearly tore out a vocal cord. We were watching Deal or no Deal and the woman had more money than she makes in three years but greedy says, "No deal" both hubby and I told her how stupid and greedy she was and in the end all she got was $ 1,000.00.

When my husband and I were first married his footy team made the Grand Final (first time is a LONG while and they haven't done it since). He LOVES to scream and barrack for them, and it doesn't do a lot for me, so I went outside to do some gardening. He was screaming so loud, the man across the road came to the fence and asked me was I ok? Did I need him to call the police to help me? I looked into his serious face, and couldn't help laughing as I explained my husband's passion. After 13 years, I am still out in the garden on the last Sunday in September!

No, I do not scream at the TV. I may talk back to it a little. Hubby does not necessarily talk to it too much either. He might yell a little once in awhile. Not often. We have a good time discussing the shows, and will give clues to people trying to solve mysteries, but, not loudly. Usually. It would really bother me, and the cats, as well.

Well if the show is exciting like sports or something I do this sometimes. I think its but natural that people do this that they forget where they are. In here Boxing makes me scream like that but I usually control it because I am conscious that I am not in that place but the cheers do sometimes can infect that you also feel you are there too.

Oh my goodness, my husband and your husband would get along great!! In fact, as I type he is watching a game and yelling. He was a basketball coach for 12 years so he really gets involved!! It doesn't bug me, I just laugh at him. I do it sometimes if I'm into the game too, but I don't yell at the refs, I just yell things like, RUN RUN RUN RUN!! OR SHOOT NOW!! Whoo hoooooooooooooooooooooo!!

I don't scream at the TV but I do berate contestants on game shows for being idiots. LOL I guess that is just as bad.

I do when watching football or hockey.
I realize the referees can't hear me, but that doesn't stop me from yelling at them when they make a stupid call. The yelling is more a result of the adrenaline that's flowing and it's bad enough when you have to stop the action because of a foul, but then for the call to be screwed up, it just exacerbates the situation. It's the passion for the game... My son and I do it a lot. My husband isn't big on sports but he'll watch it with me. My daughter hates it!
