At the time we came to the world somebody express his will for the name that would have the new baby. My name was given to me from my father. He wanted me to have the name of his grandmother but my mom didn't want for her child a name of a dead person so my father just change the first letter of her name and change it to another name similar to the one he wanted for me. I'm happy with my name it's a baeutiful name and i like it and cann't think of onether name for my self.

My Mom named me. Probably a good thing, as my dad would not have done such a hot job! It had to start with a J, since my brother's name started with a J and my mom wanted us both to have J names. It was a toss up between Jennifer, Joyce and Janis. She chose Janis but always calls me Jan. The name is okay, though not what I would choose for my own child. And I suppose it would have been nice if she had spelled it the way it is most often spelled, since I've spent my entire life correcting people. But hey - it could be alot worse!

As far as I know, my mom gave me my name. My middle name is after my grandma. I didn't really like the name at all. It sounded like grandmas but it actually wasn't her name. I dropped it when I got married and kept the initial. I like my first name though.

My mum gave me my name, and it was chosen from the bible, but to make it different they just changed the spelling of it. When I was little it was very rare that anyone had my name spelt the same way as mine, these days it is much more common, and so is the name. I didnt like my name much really as I was growing up but as I am older I think it is ok and like it much much more.

My name really is ROLANDO.
It was chosen by my Italian Grandfather.
It was a very unusual name in MALTA.
When I went to live in LONDON in 1950,
I purposely dropped the last letter O.
It made it sound more English.

My name was chosen by my parents. The name they gave me was kind of weird and I don't like changing names and so I am stuck with this ridiculous name.

I'm curious now! If you don't mind my asking, what is your name? I'm sure it's not that bad! (LOL) I guess people always tend to think that their name is kind of weird. If I could pick out my name for myself, it wouldn't seem as weird. Don't you agree?

I have two names. One is named after the penpal of my Aunt from the US. And the other is Maria, which is named after Mother Mary, the mom of Jesus. My mom said that the priest from our town would not baptized a child if his or her name is not taken from the Almanac.Hence, they have to add the name Maria.
I find my name quite unique. I used to be teased when i was a child because my name sounds like that one of a NBA player. Or sometimes i would be teased on the translation of my name in our languange. Now, i don't mind begin teased. I like my name now.
I think parents should choose a name for their child well.

My name is quite special, for till now i have never meet anyone with same name of me in my life.
I think the special feeling is great.
while comes to my English name, it was given by my first Enlish teacher. I do not like it, but I cannot find a more suitable one for me now.
Name is with the one who gave it to me a good will, and I try to make me suit to it.

I think both of my parents agreed on my name. My older sister is Erica and I'm Jessica. They both have the "ica" ending to rhyme. Little did my parents know that four more children would come along! My parents both love kids, so they had six of their own! My brother who was born after me is Evan. We call him "Evanica" to make fun of him and give him the "ica" ending. Next is my sisters Monica, Angelica, and Veronica. So now you know why my parents named us such! There's only one boy, but please don't feel sorry for him because he is SPOILED! (LOL) Had there been more boys, my parents would've named them Evan, Jordan, and Kevin. They would've all had the same "n" ending. Oh well...I'm thankful for all my sisters, and actually my brother and I are the closest of anyone. He's closest to me than with any of my other sisters. That makes me feel very special. Great discussion!

I think you are very happy with your family and I can say it's a big one. I have two sisters, one of them is my twin. As you can think I'm more conected to her than to the other sister of mine and she was and still is gelous about our relationship. I love my sisters very much. Thanks for you sincere response and for you comments.

I was named after my Mom. I couldn't ask for a better name. She is always smiling and saying hi to people. She has always had a sunny dispotion even in the worst of situations. So I am happy to be named after my Mom. There couldn't be any person that I would rather be named after.
