What 80's fad did you absolutely hate?

For me it was those ugly troll dolls. Those things were the worst! And they were everywhere...even had a cartoon about them. The only positive thing I can say about them was that I had finally found someone who had worst hair than me in the 80's

The ugly hairdos. The $lutty, slept-in look OR the BIG hair look. Either way, ugh!Can't say I enjoyed the pastel, bland clothes so popular then (think "Miami Vice"), either, though it beat the tacky 70s clothing (think "My Three Sons" or "The Brady Bunch"). BEST thing was the MUSIC! AWESOME tunes!Maggiepie Oh, & Troll dolls predated the 80s.

"For me it was those ugly troll dolls" Uh wasn't that the 90s? I remember them being the thing during those times. Seemed like every closet crazy had one, or two, or three, or several dozen... If I had to choose a fad, it may have to be the clothing. Some people dressed so loud I didn't know whether to laugh or go grab the paint remover.
