When you want some coffee, which would you prefer? A coffee from Starbucks or from McDonalds?

I would prefer MacDonalds...I went to Starbucks once and I will never go again....for one, I feel stupid wasting 3$ on a coffee that does not taste that much different than anyone else's. Secondly, when I say "a medium coffee" it means a medium coffee. I will only say Small, medium or large. That's how you order coffee everywhere else, but when I went to starbucks and asked for "a medium coffe" the cashier laughed at me. Why??? Because apparently you are supposed to say "tall, etc". I laughed right back at her and walked away and took my money elsewhere. I thought that was really stupid.

i saw a video of a woman who also was complaining about how they describe their sizes. i really think that they should change sizes into small, medium and large. probably this is one reason why mcdonalds is gaining a portion from their coffee business.

I wouldn't even think to go to McDonald's if I wanted coffee! I really enjoy Starbucks, especially the caramel macchiato they make and the gingerbread lattes at Christmas time. It's such a shame that they're so expensive though.

I haven't tried McDonalds's new coffee yet but I have had quite the number of different flavored regular coffees from Starbuck's. Mind you, none of the fru-fru ones - I like coffee - just the different blends of the regular style. I have to say that their coffee is some of the most bitter I have ever had! There are those with a smooth taste going down, but always there is an after taste that sides towards bitter. If I'm going out for coffee, I much prefer Yum-Yum Donuts' coffee! MUCH better flavor and taste to me. And no bitterness at all! And in second place I choose Denny's coffee. A good all around taste and flavor. Nothing to brag about but at the same time nothing to complain about either.

although i would love to go to star bucks, i think that they are overcharging their customers for just a coffee that you can get it from mcdonalds for a lower price.

Jolene that's what I'm trying to do. It saves so much money and if you put about half coffee half milk it's not too much different than a latee.

i dun buy coffee itself but 3-in-1 packs cause i hardly drink. only my hubby is the drinker. i only drink when i feel like it. coffee at home saves more coz 1 bottle or 1 pack of coffee, everybody in the house can make a drink.

By far Starbucks! Grande white chocolate mocha with a double shot of espresso has to be my favorite. It can keep me going for hours. It’s a Sunday morning thing. I take the kids to Mc D’s and after I get my Starbucks and we all have a happy Sunday.

I rarely go to either of these but I would definitely have to choose Starbucks. I'm sure McDonald's is cheaper but Starbucks is far and away the better coffee.

Definitely (without any hesitation) my answer would be Starbucks. My husband and I share the same passion towards Starbucks and Coffee Bean. So if Starbucks is not anywhere near where we are, we would settle for Coffee Bean instead, not thinking of getting coffee from MacDonalds at all. I think the only time that I'd get coffee from MacDonalds would be during our breakfast, if we happened to order MacBreakfast which includes the coffee/tea. Besides the breakfast, I have never walked in just to have coffee at MacDonalds. I am such a Starbucks fan that I bought the coffee along with the tumbler. I also have a Starbucks diary planner for 2008, which were only given to those who collected enough stickers from Starbucks (each sticker represents a purchase of any Starbucks drink).

Honestly, neither one! Starbucks is expensive, and McDonalds... well, I haven't stepped foot in a McDonalds, except to use the bathroom, in forever; I don't support either corporation. But if I must choose, I'd go with Starbucks. Their specialty is coffee. With all those fatty additives and preservatives, of course it's delicious. Personally, my favorite coffee is from small Chinese bakeries; they always have excellent prices as well ($1.35 for a medium sized cup of delicious coffee).

It depends, if I just want to drink coffee in the morning for my breakfast I go to mcdonalds, if I have some meeting with friends and we have to stay late, then we go to Starbucks. Other than that, Mcdonalds is much cheaper.

I like Starbucks better. I like the way they make their coffee. I like the taste and the varieties. Although their prices are much higher.

I will not drink coffee in a fast food restaurant (ANY fast food restaurant!!!), and I never liked starbucks coffee. I do like a lot of coffee shops that are similar to Starbucks, I just don't like Starbucks coffee. If I were to rephrase this question as "where would you rather drink coffee, in a coffee shop, or a fast food restaurant?" I'd say that I'd rather go to a coffee shop.
