Do you use mouthwash?
any particular brand?
during our shopping trip the other day i was looking at the tiny dixie cups which made me think of mouthwash so i sent my son back to grab some we hadn't bought it in a long time... he chose listerine, saying that all the others were just alcohol and flavoring - while the listerine was medicinal.
we generally just use water and give a swish to get the toothpaste out and all - so this listerine seems strong to me, and burns the inside of my cheeks.
the girls are diluting it with water, I might do the same.

I use ACT mouthwash. I think that it burns but it is supposed to help restore your teeth. Who knows if it really works. I use the Spearmint flavor.
We also bought that blue dye that you swish with before you brush. It is supposed to help you make sure you don't miss any plaque. I don't like it though.

i have three mouth washes, two of them are for problems like sore throat and mouth blisters.. and the other one for everyday use.
i have bactidol its a very good brand for killing germs bacteria and viruses, without harming the gums and teeth.. its also equivalent to antiseptic and protective layer.
i only use it when needed.
the other one is colgate plax,
it is for whitening and removing plaque as well cavities.
i use it three times a week.. it really improves my teeth complexion very good for removing stains.
the other one is used everyday, the gargol with herbal oils, i prefer the strawberry flavor.
it does have several essential oils like peppermint, chamomile, thyme, tea tree oil, lemon etc... no added preservatives and sugar..
i dont have problem with my breath, even if i woke up, i dont have anything that smells.. even after eating, my mouth wont build up something smelly, i believe it all root from what and how you take care of your self..
i am very conscious with my teeth and all over dental hygiene as well my body from body washes to lotions and body butter.
take care^_^

If we are using tooth past of good brand, then we do not need to use mouth wash. The medicated mouth wash, such as Listerine is made for those, who are suffering from the mouth diseases. Such medicinal items should be used after having suggestion of your physician.

I use listerine when I feel that I need a mouthwash for things like dental pain or relief of canker sores or other mouth pain as the listerine numbs the areas in the mouth and brings relief. It is also good after dental work as it is a good antiseptic.
A warm salt water rinse is also healthy for the gums and teeth.
I would rather chew Big Red gum for the mouth refreshing properties than gargle with Listerine for a fresh breath. Scraping of the tongue with one of those scrapers initially used in India takes off the coating of the tongue and reduces mouth odor.
You can also do as the East Indians do and chew fennel or anise seeds after a meal or do as some others do and eat parsley or mint for their natural mouth freshening properties.

We've been using the Walmart store brand, cheap, that is Citrus - it has an antiseptic in it and I got it mainly for that as son and I have both been suffering from a lot of colds and sore throats the last few months.
It's strong but not so bad you can't stand it and I know my mouth is really clean after I use it.

I never buy the stuff. But I did get scope in a gift basket this past christmas. My youngest thought it was too strong but my other two children liked it and had contests on who could keep it in their mouth the longest. It is okay but I never really ever used it in my live and don't really need it I think. I have had 3 cavities my whole of 31 years which I don't think it really bad.

Hi there, I usually buy the blue listerine. LOL!! I love the fact that it is strong and that it kills germs. I really do like it other than the burn that occassionally happens LOL!!

i do mouthwash everyday. it's a part of my routine. i like to keep my mouth fresh from any bacteria or germs. i use listerine. some people think it's too strong. but i like it. i like the feeling that there's a war between the listerine and the bacteria going on inside my mouth as i gargle. LOL

Hi! I use toothpaste from my childhood and I have no problems with my teeth. May be you must look for the proper tooth-brush?

Hi there Modestah! I use mouthwash occassionaly. Not regularly. I usually use water. I don't have any experience with kids using one. My son, who is five years old isn't even using a regular toothpaste yet. He's still using kiddie toothpaste. I use Listerine when I do gargle with mouthwash. It's also too harsh for me so I mix it with water. I only gargle when my mouth and teeth needs special care.

i usually use antiseptic mouthwash because I have some problems with my mouth and it helps keep the swelling down. I also like the feel that it gives me. Yes mouthwash is strong but stick in there. If you use it long enough it doesn't seem as bad. Just give it like a week. when i first started using it I had the same problem but i stuck in there and it just got better. now my husband has used that crest whitening mouth wash in the black and white bottle and it literally burned him. He had skin peeling from the inside of his mouth. I am pretty sure it gave him slight chemical burns. I will never use that kind again.
