Setting off firecrackers

It is the most important festival to the Chinese people these days, that is the Spring Festival. One of the ways to celebrate it is to set off firecrackers. It is a traditional way for the Chinese to celebrate. But I don't like it at all. I don't like the loud sound, the pollution and the threat to people's life and property that firecrackers cause. But so many people like lighting firecrackers. They seem to enjoy the deafening sound, the terrible smell. Do you like lighting firecrackers? Do you think it is a good way to celebrate.
