When I'm eating my cereal I tend to use a smaller bowl than I do when I eat soup. Mainly because of the amount of soup in a can and the soup is usually my whole meal and I'm going to eat the whole thing in one sitting. My son on the other hand uses the biggest bowl he can find to eat cereal in the morning and has as long as I can remember. Which do you use....a large bowl or small bowl for soup or cereal?

I use the biggest bowl I can find too. I don't really eat cereal because I usually skip breakfast. I love homemade soup, especially chicken and dumplings so, I always make sure I get a big bowl so I don't have to go for seconds.

Chicken and dumplings is one of my favorites and I feel the same way....I don't like having to go for seconds.

I use the same size bowl for anything that needs a bowl. It's a large "cereal" sized bowl. It's called a "cereal bowl" and I have three of them. I have small bowls that my cat eats out of...and I have small bowls that are more like deep plates... I use them for things like mac n cheese and spaghetti and other noodle and sauce like substances.

I have those small bowls that are like deep plates also and sometimes use those for my cereal in the morning.

When eating cereal or having green tea I like using my porcelain mug bowl which normally could load the amount two cups of content. It looks like an ordinary bowl which has the handle of a cup. Occasionally I will take cereal for breakfast in the morning. I love to have hot green in the evening. I always take soup before having meal or when having dinner using a small china soup bowl.

I have two large black soup cups that Hubby and I use for soups, stews and chili's. I usually use regular cereal bowls for my cereal. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

That's really a great question because I've never thought of it before! Usually I'll just use whatever bowls there are in the cupboard because that's all we have to eat our cereal and soup in. They're all about the same size. I usually eat soup for dinner when I'm not feeling well. Our bowls are all pretty small or perhaps like a medium size. So when I'm eating my soup, I'll fill up the bowl two or three times until I've eaten all the soup. I know it's probably more trouble than it's worth to fill up my bowl that many times, but it works for me! I actually had some chicken noodle soup just last night because I thought I was coming down with something. I'm allergic to milk, so I don't really eat cereal that much nowadays. I used to eat it in the morning for breakfast in a medium- or large-sized bowl because cereal has always been one of my favorite meals. Now that I'm allergic to it, I can honestly say I never eat cereal for breakfast anymore. Of course, I do eat it for dinner sometimes for my "dessert." That might sound weird, but I love all the sugar that's in the cereal so it's just like dessert to me. I have soy milk that I use instead of regular milk too. I still use my regular (medium) size of bowl to eat cereal and keep filling up the bowl with cereal until I get full. I'm craving Golden Grahams now! (LOL)

LOL my husband uses the largest bowl we have for his cereal too LOL I on the other hand (on the rare occasions i have cereal) use a baby bowl...Like the size you get when you get those toddler Dora the Explorer dinnersets with the little plate, bowl, cup and fork/spoon thing....I still have ONE baby bowl left from when Ty was alive and I use that for my cereal LOL...I find if I use a regular sized soup bowl I wont eat it all and it just goes to waste ya know...

I use the large bowl when I am eating cereal with milk at breakfast or having soup for lunch. However when I am eating cereal as a snack, I will use the smaller bowl. Sometimes I will have the cereal with milk as a snack as I have to drink more milk and sometimes I will just eat the cereal out of the box, but my husband does not like it that way, so I will just pour it into a cup and eat it out of hand.

I would prefer using large bowl to have my soup. It helps in taking the soup more conveniently and the special soup spoon can pick up the solid particles (say vegetables etc), if any, very easily. If I use small bowl, it would become difficult to consume soup with ease and convenience and it can spill over. I love to take soups which are not very hot and I believe that a large bowl helps in consuming the soup at an appropirate temperature.

When I used to eat a lot of cereal, ctry, I did use the largest bowl I could find, lol, but these days I use a normal-sized bowl fro everything. I have to constantly watch everything -weight, cholesterol, bp. It has certainly taken much of the enjoyment out of eating.

I actually have a bowl that is made to put cereal in it came free with a box of cereal it has Tony the Tiger on it, it is a good size bowl I like it being a decent size bowl so when you put the milk in the cereal does not fall over the sides. I also have a bowl for soup it is a big bowl it is a coca cola soup bowl I like the bigger bowl so the soup does not splash over the sides and burn me.

I use small bowl so that I could limit the servings to two bowls only (both cereal and soup). Also, in using smaller bowl, you could get some more if you still want to eat but if you are to use a large bown and suddenly don't wanna to eat anymore, you cannot just return the food or keep the cereal to be consumed when you want it.

I usually use a smaller bowl for cereal because I'm not a big fan of the stuff, but when I do eat it I don't eat much before I get tired it. Soup on the other hand I love, any kind of soup really, so the bigger the bowl the better. I tend to over eat when I get soup.

I don't use a bowl when I eat cereal. I don't put milk on it so I eat it right out of the box.I don't eat soup but if I did, I would use a large bowl so I could get all of the soup in the one bowl.

I use the same size bowl for soup or cereal. It isn't big, but it isn't small either. I guess you could say it is just right. :P I personally don't see the need for a bigger bowl. If I was to want more soup or cereal I can always just get myself another serving. :P

I use the same kinda bowls for my cereal and soups and even salads. All go in the bowls that came in the set that I got. But if I had it my way I would have my cereal bowls larger than the soup ones. Though I rarely eat breakfast when I wake up, a few hours later I do like to eat cereal and usually the little bowl isn't quite enough for me. HEHE I do enjoy cereal. When it comes to soup I find that if I am eating soup as a side it is fine but as a main course I do go for seconds.

I'm exactly the opposite to you, ctrymuziklvr! I eat cereal in a large bowl because it is something that's supposed to fill me up in the morning, with a generous helping of milk. Soup is part of my dinner and so it's generally in a small bowl and if I were to have space in my stomach, I would go for extra helpings.

I use small for breakfast and larger for soup, same as you for the same reasons. My brother used to use a salad bowl for cereal because he used to eat a 1/2 or full box (depending on the size of the box) of cereal at a time. We used to call him Jethro Bodeen after the Beverly Hillbillies character.
