Where do you place your computer. Do you place it in a private room just like your bedroom or you have it place in common area just like in the sala? Why you choose it to be place there?
As for me, I have my computer place in the sala because my younger sister will use it sometimes. I want to monitor them as to what programs they are opening not just to protect computer from virus, malware or spyware but more to protect my younger sisters. Besides there are times that neighbor do come at home to use my computer for an hour or more.
How about you guys?

our computer is in my room. i mostly use it and its like already mine because i have already spent a lot upgrading it, changing parts, repair, maintenance etc., and i'm also the one paying for the internet bill. so basically yeah, its mine. but even before, its been in my room since only me and my youngest sister use it. now i mostly use it and my sister has to have my permission first before she can use it. i don't want to let anybody else use it because i spend too much on it that hell will break loose if it gets broken by other people. ^__^

I know how you feel. Anytime one of my kids gets on the computer, the next time I get on something is messed up. I limit their time on here. Actually, my 14 year old doesn't go on the computer at all. My 11 year old is into some website that came with a pet dog. She plays games and chats with her friends on there.

well if you put it like that i am thankful that my teenage niece and nephews are not into computers yet. they basically don't know how to use a computer actually. i'm actually selfish when it comes to my computer and i'm thankful that i can use it all to myself. my sister use it when i'm not at home and i always tell her to take extra care when using it and only use it for a short time. ^__^ i just don't want it to get messed up again because its a lot of hassle and money!

First of all, what room is the Sala? I do know a lot of Spanish, and that word is familiar to me, but I don't remember what room that is.
In my house we have two computers, one, my grandmother's, is in the Living Room. Mine is in the patio room which I have turned into a makeshift office. My grandmother's used to be in the basement, until she realized it was too cold down there, even in the Summer. She also signed up for online classes and knew she would have to be on the computer more often.
I moved mine upstairs for the same reason.
When there were more people living here, I protected both of the computers since I was more knowledgeable of doing that. My little cousins liked to download little free games that were harmful to the computer, even after being told not to. So on my Grandmother's computer I made separate profiles for each adult that used the computer. I made it so only my grandmother's profile could download anything onto the computer, and I put it under password.
As far as my computer, I just put it under password that comes up as soon as the computer is started. I'm the only one that uses it.
Now that my cousins no longer stay here, I took the password off of my Grandmothers profile.

Thanks. I knew I knew that word, I just couldn't associate it with the English Counterpart. So I guess "El Computer de mi Abuela es en la sala tambien!" Lol

The same with my situation, I would want to have it place in a common place, but not in the sala/living room because it is very open when there are visitors, but then because we have no enough space.

I place my computer in my room on my table. I'm using a laptop so I can put it anywhere really but then my mom will grumble and ask me to put it in my room hehe.

I have the main computer in my living room next to the television. This way we can all sit on the couch and watch movies on it together. My daughter has a laptop in her room and the boys have a computer in their room. There is one in the basement but it hardly ever gets used.

Mine too is on the opposite side. We always watch TV every noon, and the same time chat. My sister will sometimes look what I am doing on my computer. So it is more fun with my computer located in the living room.

I have a laptop which I usually keep on my bed while I'm using it, nice and comfy spot to lay and work. When I'm not using it I keep it on the table next to my bed by my printer and camera and what not. It's right next to outlets for charging and can easily be pulled over onto my bed so I can start working whenever. Very comfortable setup.

My computer is on an old secretary desk in the corner of my rec room in the basement. My "office" takes up the whole front end of the rec room as I have tables and bookshelves piled with stuff. There is a TV down there so I can "watch" (more like listen to) my shows while I'm on the computer, and the laundry room is there too. So I practically live down there... I should say HERE.

My computer is in my room. If my sister needs to use it, well, I let her use it. The computer is in my room because I use it very frequently and I would rather stay in my room surfing the net late at night so as not to disturb my parents.

I have my main desktop PC in my bedroom since its out the way when my gf is watching tv in the living room etc.
But i also have a laptop that usually just sits in the livingroom, when either of us want to browse the net etc.
I have however added Security software to stop her looking at some sites on both PC's as (a) i know what she's like when it comes to shopping but she also looks at the wierdest things.
Not only this but stopped her being able to download from the net without administrator permission as countless times she has downloaded programs with malware and adware attachements etc.
its good having a pc in each room tho so you can pick and choose.

I have everything in one room, well where I sleep. I have my PC in my room near my bed that way I can watch movies and listen to music and browse the internet. Its quite convinient too, I dont know why but I love having my PC in my room instead of putting it in its own room, much cosier I think...

well, I do think it would be ideal and practical if it is a personal computer of yours and no one will use it. Even me, if nobody will use it except me, I would definitely have it in my room for convenience. :D

I dont have problem like you coz I am the only person in my family using computer. Other family members dont know how to operate it and hence they will not touch my system at all. As I wanted to have privacy, I have shifted my comp to my bedroom so that, i can use it without any distrubance from anyone. Previosly it was placed in the drawing room and i was not able to use it freely. Hence, I moved it to my private bedroom.

We have a computer room. It used to be my younger son's bedroom and then he moved to my older son's bedroom when he left. So we made this into a computer room. We have two computers, mine and my husband's. Our sons had their own computers and when the first one left, we bought one computer, and then my husband bought another one, I got the old one, and then I was able to buy my own.
Our sons were in university when we got our first real ones, not the TRS80 radio shack kind, so we did not have to worry about evil web sites since they used theirs first for university.

Our computer is in the living room since the cable outlet is right there. I don't have wireless capability on this computer so have to buy the parts if I want to move it. Getting the internet installed made rearranging the living room a necessity. It works out better than I thought since I have a nice window right by the computer. I don't mind it in here and think it should definitely be in a high traffic area with a teenager in the house. I'll put it in the corner of the dining room eventually. Now, if I got my own lap top, that would be a luxury...!!

yeah, one of the reason why my mother don't want it to be place on my room because it will add additional expenses putting extra outlet for the computer.

hi. I place it in my private room. I choose to place it there because of easier access. I can use it whenever I want. also, I have the cable for internet in the room too, and I am the only one that access my own computer. Dad has his own.
