I always check the profile first. Some you can tell right away are fake. Some are real people but they are not someone I know. I don't add people I don't know. Its useless to me to have people on my list that I'll probably never contact because I don't know them. Now on Yuwie its another story. I add everyone, because the more I have, the more people will stop by my page and the more they stop by my page, the more i get paid :)

i only add people if i actually know them (either in person or online). i used to add everyone who requested me, but i didn't like the idea of lots of strangers knowing too much about me. this way it's just a way to keep in touch with people from various aspects of my life.

I do not belong to mySpace, but no matter what social online club or forum I belong to, I check the profiles of those who are members of the same forum, etc. and I only add them to my friend's list if they have the same main interest as I do. I of course would add family members, and friends. I am very choosey. There is no need to add people who might insult you or are maybe interested in dating you rather than talk about the same things.

I don't always add everyone as a friend when I am on my space. Most of the people that try to add me are trying to sell me something or want me to become there referral for some random marketing website. If it's a friend I will add them, if it's someone trying to sell me something ...I won't.

I always add them most usually. It is easier for me to just go ahead and add them than to take time and go look at their profile. I don't always turn their alert on though if I add them I go about one time per month and go through my newly added friends and see where they are from and how active and productive they are first and then decide to turn on their alert or not.

I definitely do not! I look for people that are here for the MyLot Experience, not just the ones that are here for posts alone.
I look at how many posts a person has and how long they have been here. If they have a low number of posts, then thats one strike.
Then I look at the quality of their posts, are they talking about things I am interested in? Are they going indepth about the subject, or are they just posting to get credit. If they are the latter, or if they haven't started any discussions and they have been here a while, that's another strike.
Finally, I see if they have responded to any of my discussions or replies. I want to know how you came across my name in the first place. If they are interested in something that I am, and have replied as such, then there is a legit reason that you are asking for a friend request. If you just saw my name somewhere and liked how many posts I had, you do not get added to my friends list.

I always look at the profile too, unless it's family or close friends. Believe it or not I have a sister-in-law that I had to send a friend request to about 5 times before she ever added me. Makes me wonder if I should ask my brother if his wife doesn't like me for some reason.

I don't just add anybody. I read their profiles first and find out if I do share common interests with them. Or I also look into who are our common friends, if any, because some of those who wanted to add me are actually friends of my friends or friends of my cousins.

No. I am very careful as to who I add in my mySpace account. I just don't add anybody. I don't like the idea of having my mySpace crowded by people that I do not really know.

for me depending the site, HERE in mylot i prepare to accept all friends request. there is nothing wrong about it...this site is for fun not for confidentiality...maybe you can apply that to other site intended for real friends and family circle.

I prefere look at profile and after i add too, because i have to see who is the person or.. if i know the person, because if you accept everyone, one in that people can be a bad person and.. get your password, delete your friends or do something bad, and this is not so good ya. That is better to look the person before add. Its a security option, because the world today its very dangerous and have people with bad intentions.

I am not on MySpace very often (I suppose because MyLot pays, and MySpace does not) but when I see that somebody wants to connect, I connect with them. People are people, and they are all the same UNTIL you get to know them. I have met a lot of very interesting people this way.

I always check. I need to make sure they're not cam girls, or someone else trying to get me to join some dating site. I also want to be sure they're not trying to sucker me into an MLM. Also, they have to have music I like. For example, I like Rock, Techno, and similar, but not rap or hip hop. It's nothing against the performers, just not my taste. If the people are video game, comic book, or star wars profiles, I almost always accept! (:

I dont add just anybody on my myspace. I dont want to be considered one of those myspace people that has 10 million friends. lol as people call them. I always look at the profile and their pictures if I dont know them to see if maybe they were a friend from high school that I just dont remember. Sometimes their pictures will help me remember them.

I never add anyone anymore that I dont know really. I used to add everyone had about 1000 friends. Then I deleted them down to friends, family, and certain internet friends that I have talked to. I will add certain ones now and then it depends on their profile. Sometimes ill chat with them and if we dont really hit it off ill delete them.
