I surely think it do ! And as a girl , i think , many of us also want our lover propose in a very important and easy to remember day , right ? Then, i think , valentine's day is a good day to propose ! I also hope to marry my lover , and in the future , i want to be a good wife , and good mother ! But , maybe this year , my dream will not come ture , actually , if anyone of you can step into another stage , i express my wishes to you ! Happy Valentine's day to all of you in mylot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It could be fantastically romantic to get proposed to on Valentine's Day or it can be terribly cliche. He needs to put a lot of thought into it to make it special.
Any day you get a proposal would become a special and significant day for you. Think about it, the man you love asking you to be his and only his forever and always!
Mine asked me on my birthday. It was lovely and special. He took me to a hotel for my birthday and when we checked in, there was a rose on my pillow with a ring box next to it. A big surprise and so sweet.

Yes, it is a romantic day, my parents were married on Valentine's Day, and I was born a year and half later on July 4th!

If its truly a surprise then yes it can be romantic.
However, there are cases where one lover can make it completely disgusting.
On her side usually, ultimatiums and threats for proposal
(marry me or I'll break up with you... quite unromantic in my opinion)
On his side typically, him secondguessing and thinking he MUST do this
(which also is unromantic and rather discouraging).

Hi there Cindy405777! Thank you very much and Happy Valentine's day to you too. Yeah, I think that will be really romantic. Though for me, the way of how he will propose will determine more of how romantic the proposal is. Doing it on Valentine's day will add extra sweetness in it. Good luck with your plans. Stay happy.

The way Valentines day is these days, completely superficial and based on commercial things... Somehow I think that Valentines day would add a level of cheesy-ness to it that I would not want my proposal to have.
I would much prefer he pick some arbitrary day that is based more on timing with us personally than him wanting his proposal to coincide with several hundred thousand (a guess) across the world.
Best of luck with your Valentines day, though. ^^
