I find it easier to stay to myself. You don't have to worry about somebody's negative opinions or comments about you, or your appearance or other issues that seem to annoy people. I try to smile though and do things that make me feel better.

I am more less like that. Life thought me that.
I don't think a person is always the same, everyone change.
We change, because of life, friends, a special person or even a puppy.
We just need to think in the good stuff.
I am with a depression, but i went to pick a puppy last saturday, and i fell a completely different person... well, not that much, but i am more occupied, and i don't think about bad stuff so often. And this puppy is very active, very "warm"... always giving kisses.. is a great mate :) .
Like you see, everyone changes, a bit or in a big way, by big or small things in life. You just need to find "that thing". ;)

Dont change yourself, be yourself, and let other people come to you.
Be bold, stand out in front, think of new ideas, rise above your own mentality, stick your neck out, to quote "M" people "Look for the hero inside yourself and then you'lle find the key to your life".
Strive to take a different attitude to your life, and when you change your way of thinking, everything else will change.

I never smile when I have no reason to so I always look angry or sad to everyone around until they get to know me or talk to me. I am shy and hard to get to know which leads to the fact everyone just finds me an angry or sad person that they want to avoid! =)

I do not you need to go around with a big smile on your face but in the presence of other people you really need to acknowledge them and what you are doing if you do not smile or say any thing is giving them the message that they are not good enough to be in your presence, I am not saying that you feel that I am say that is how it is perceived by others, I know I was the same way and people avoided me like I was the plague,
What is it going to cost you to smile at other people and say a simple hello. they might ask you how you are doing but honest they are not going to ask you you whole history, It is just insulting to not be acknowledged and if you think about this you will have to agree, be as shy as you want but do not try to be invisible because you are not, it is a simple enough thing to do, just keep in mind how you would feel if you were constantly met with a grumpy looking face and not a word said.

try to look at the brighter side of things. i used to take life so seriously but learned to lightnen up. try to smile more. they say it takes more muscle in the face to frown then it takes to smile. good luck.
