Okay, so I just finished the last of my books. I'm going to the bookstore later today to pick up a couple of new ones. I need some suggestions. So, currently, my reading tastes include adult books (fiction) about vampires, weres, witches, etc. I also like good mystery books. So, what would you recommend? I've read alot of them, but I know there are tons more. So even if you suggest something that I have read, that is okay, the more suggestions the better! So, shoot! Tell me! Thanks!

If you like Vampire books you should read some of Laurell Hamilton's. She has the Anita Blake series that is real good.

Mercedes Lacky! Everyone of her series is good. The Elemental Masters series is wonderful series, I'm reading the new book of the series now. It's called Reserved for the Cat. There's also The Serpent's Shado, The Gares of Sleep, Phoenix and Ashes, and The Wizard of London. Love them! Her other series are interesting too, The Dragon Jousters series is a wonderful series. About dragons and magic. The Mage Wars series deals with Gryphons and magic. Her other books deal with magic too. Several of the books have horses as a main part if you like horses. There's also a series dealing with owls. The most enchanting author of mine so far. Hm... other books you'd like.... Not quite sure to be truthful. I admit I'm a bit close minded when it comes to books sometimes. I saddly can't offer any suggestions for mystery books because I myself aren't fond of them.

One of my favorite series is by J R Ward. The series is about vampires and is one of the best I've read. It starts with the book Dark Lover. I love Laurell K Hamilton also :-)

The best series of books, and if you haven't read them yet, then you are in for a treat since thre are currently several books in the series, with the 8th book due to be released this summer. Marjorie M Liu has several books, the Dirk and Steel series deals with a variety of paranormal beings. THe first is Tiger Eye, Shadow Touch is one of the best and the second Red Heart of Jade is 3rd, and has dragons. Dark Dreamer is anthology with two authors but her Gargoyle is part of the Dirk and Steele Series Eye of Heaven Soul Song Last Twilight just released My Big Fat Supernatural Honeymoon is anthology of authors one of the stories is kind of a prequel to the Dirk and Steele Series The Wild Road is due to be released in July of 2008 Marjorie also has a book that has vampires and weres, it is the second book in the Crimson City Series that started with Liz Mavericks book. There are about 5 books in that series if you haven't read them. you can go to her website to find out more You may also want to find older books by Andre Norton she wrote the Witch World series that you may enjoy. Also Jude Deveraux's Always / Forever / Always and Forever trilogy The enitre Crimson City series if you haven't read it was written by several authors and revolves around what has happened to LA, now that the city is divided by humans, vampires and werewolves, I love the Twilight series by Maggie Shayne, this is a great vampire series that has about 11 books in it, some of the older ones are harder to find, but you can go to her website to find out more Another idea may be to check out the site for Dorchester Publishing, they publish Marjorie M Liu's books as well as others My favorite for this type of book and in fact two of my favorites in general are Marjorie M Liu and Maggie Shayne, It is easier to list authors to look for than titles as that can get rather long. similar authors to look for Christine Feehan Sherrilyn Kenyon Angela Knight Susan Sizmore Alexsis Morgan Kresley Cole Jennifer St. Giles Lori Handeland Christine Warren Lynsay Sands Lynn Viehl has a series there are four books that I know of this is part of the Darklyn series and well worth reading.

Delores Stewart Riccio, besides being a cookbook author has a series of maybe three books about a coven of witches in a small town. The ladies are middle aged and solve mysteries in their town with some mild witchcraft involved. She does good character development, makes them down to earth and likeable. Another good series is by Kim Harrison - a witch private eye with vampire and werewolf friends. Be sure to read this in the right order. whit
