i am married for 7 years now but we only have a child two years ago. we waited 5 years to have a child and i am 36 already so for me i think one child is enough. if we had a child as soon as we got married i would love to have atleast two children, but i think i am too old to have two now.

for me is 4 or 3 children will be good bonding for the family. or either it depend to the parent how many kids they need atleast they can provide them a dress, school & ect, specially the right manners for the kids.

However many they want and can look after. I have three and though I want more, this is all I can look after.

I think it depends on the choice of the parents and their resources for providing their family's needs. I belive in responsible parenthood. If you think that you can only support this number of children, then stick to it and practice family planning. Parents should be able to provide the needs of their growing family and should be able to send their kids to school.

It depends on the family. Poor families should just have a maximum of 2 children to minimize their expenses. For rich families they can have as many children as they want because they are financially ready but they should make sure that they give equal attention to every child.

I am glad I am in a country where I am not restricted to how many children I can have, like China. I don't think there should be a number placed on the amount of children a family needs. I just hope if people do decide to have a lot of children that they can provide for their needs and give them a loving home.

it depends upon so many factors in life. most important is how manty children the family can look after well. Also on the couples how many they think can be arised by them. Also i think all should remember the ever increasing population.so there are many factors behind this.

Well, it really depends on the couple. If they can afford to bring up and provide good standard of living and a good future for several kids, then why not. However, we observe that in developing countries, those poor couples, those living in slum areas or those who don't have enough income to sustain family are the ones who have more children than those couples who really can afford large families.
I have only two kids, both boys age 19 and 16, and for me that is enough. Too many children in a home is so hard for couples who earn just meager income. The increasing prices of commodities and the cost to send kids to finish schooling is expensive these days, compared to many years ago.
On the other hand one child is not also good. The only child will tend to look for playmates outside and tend to be spoiled by the parents. So, for me, although I dont have a girl, I think my two boys are enough for my husband and me to give them a decent living.

It really all depends on the family and how many they think they can handle. There are some families that are cut out to only have one and there are some families that are cut out to have a dozen. Depends on the parents and their patience level really. Some parents can have 6 or 7 children and do just fine, but if it gets stressful, less is probably better. LOL! It's all in the parents handling it and being able to afford more than just a couple. thanks for sharing and God bless

I think a family should have as many children as they desire and can afford. I think it's something that should be discussed before hand before a man and woman commit to marriage. There really is no right or wrong answer, simply what feels right between the couple.

Well, a family doesn't need children. The choice of number of children is a choice that partners make after weighing the factors of attention and money and other things. Really, its determind by how much your really can give to another life.

IMHO- i think one should be the limit - I think we need to decrease the booming population of this world to reduce Humanities footprint as a species. That's just my opinion.

It really depends on the situation. Can the couple raise that number of children?
It also depends on what the couple want. Some rich couples suprisingly raise a few children even though they could raise quite a number with assurance. Then, there are those poor people who have more children yet, have difficulty taking care of them due to their hard status in life.
