Ziva or Kate, who do you prefer?

I enjoyed Kate when she was on the show, but I think Ziva is just as interesting if not more so. With her background and strength she is no push over. Plus the comedy is refreshing especially her learning the different phrases.

I am fairly new to the season, only discovering it existed a couple of months ago. as a result I am watching as much as I can on Sky in the UK, it does mean different channels are showing different series. At the moment I prefer Kate but for no other reason than she seems to wind the others up when she wants to

I agree with you. Ziva has a better character. I find her really funny because she doesn't have the greatest English so sometimes she gets phrases or words mixed up. Also, I think her and DiNozzo would make a cute couple. They already seem like they argue like a married couple!haha

It's a tough call in some ways, since I really liked Cate. However, I can relate better to Ziva: I am of Jewish lineage, and I was a tomboy when I was a kid (I haven't changed much). Ziva is very ballsy. Cate was more passive than Ziva is, for want of a better word. Perhaps a better way of putting it would be that Ziva is more in-your-face. Subtle as a sledgehammer. I love that quality. I also love how streetwise she is. She can handle herself in virtually any situation. I also admire that she is a polyglot - I wish I were. So while I loved Cate, I feel "closer" to Ziva. If I could choose one as a sister, I would choose Ziva.

To be honest I would love to see Ziva interract with Kate. They are so different and watching them together on screen would be a blast. And Tony would be both thrilled and really really unhappy. Now, I have to admit that I enjoyed Kate's interractions with Tony far more than I like Ziva's actions. Yes, Ziva is a darker character and more fun to write, I bet. But Kate had something about herself and I will miss her no matter how much Ziva impresses me.

I do like them both but I prefer Ziva. I like that she's smart and can kick butt. I think I like her over Kate because she's probably the type of woman I want to be. Smart and powerful! BTW: I searched for this discussion to make sure I wasn't starting a duplicate and nothing came up, then as I submit my discussion lo and behold yours pops up as similiar discussions...I hate when that happens! I guess great minds think alike, right!

i just started watching ncis the past year or so and i didnt even know there was another woman before ziva until i was watching some old episodes a couple weeks ago. i didn't like her as much. ziva is better, i like how she talks and how things come out because she doesn't know the language that much. she just fits in better with the rest of the cast.
