Warning!! Who is living in your neighborhood?

I have checked this sight before, but thanks for the reminder. Since the last time I was there someone has moved into our neighborhood. There was a nice innocent looking old man who used to hang out at the laundry mat - I saw him on the sight after I had spent most of the day at the laundry mat with my toddler daughter running around. This is a great resource to help protect your children, but also remember that not everyone is registered or in compliance.

hey there polly..soo i went to the site..and i must say im glad they have this out..but i had soem probs..like could anyone else see the pics of the people..because i couldnt..i had a site that i had..and it showed pics..and what they did..everything i should say..and this site was very general..but still it showed me that i had one in the neighborhood that i wasnt aware of..so thank u for that..and thank u for spreading the word..and helping others..

I've had this site bookmarked for a long time, it's most valuable for checking to see if there's predators in the neighborhood. A couple of years ago my one daughter was working as a waitress while she was taking some college courses. There was this guy who came in and was very 'creepy.' We went onto the website and checked out the area where she worked, and there was this guys picture! And not only his picture, but others who used to come into the restaurant were also listed as s*xual predators. I think it's a valuable tool to know who you're dealing with so that you can avoid being around them (like in the parking lot, etc.) I also did a search for my neighborhood, which is quiet and way out in the country. I was very surprised to see that there was 3 of them within a 2 mile area, and a few more that live up towards the grade school. I'm glad you thought to share the link withother myLotters, unfortunately it's very necessary in this day and age!

This is a great discussion. It is nice to know that there is a place to go to check out the people who live around you. In this day and age a person can never be to safe. Especially when there are kids in the neighborhood. I don't have any kids at home but my grandkids do come over and visit. So I will be checking this out. I went to the link real quick just to see what it was like.

i looked at the site and this is good for people to look at. there are some many of them that live withing range of me and my kids school. this is the best site i have been to for this type of information. thank you for putting it out there that there is another site to look up offenders in your town.

Thanks Polly - I checked out my address and while there are no offenders on my road there is one at the bottom of my hill. It scary to know that some one like that lives so close. At least I know to be extra carful in watching my kids. The offecne is green so thats better then red but wow too close for confort!

This is such a good Website... It is really sad that we have to have this kind of website tho... I really scares the bejibbers out of me... My kids... have always know what was around... they have always been afraid of unusuall men... but what we don't know... is there are women out there also... I just don't think they get caught... at least not as much as men...kinda scary... And really sad that we have to teach this sad thing to our children! Have a great day! :0)

We have a site like this in Texas I'd looked at before, but still went to the site and took a look. It is really disturbing. I don't have kids at home, or grandkids that live in this state, but there are a TON of child molesters living within a half mile of several area schools. How is that even legal? Amazing.

Thank you very much for sharing. I think this helps a lot when in a neighborhood where you have to walk and depend on public transportation too. I would rather find the people listed here than meet them on the street somewhere. I will share this site too.

You are right about this being an important site. It is very important to be aware of what and who are around us. Back in the day, it did not seem as important, but somehow things seem worse now. If we can protect our children by being aware of our surroundings, then this is exactly what we need to do and this is the perfect site to help us do that. Thank you for it.

I wonder if it could tell me how many terrorists are living in my neighborhood? There are cells everywhere in the world. It's kind of scary not knowing where they all are.

Thanks for posting this. I wonder if we have a site like this in Canada? I will have to check it out as this is extremely valuable tool in todays society! Know your enemy as they say! Its a start anyway.

I cannot believe how many offenders that there are in my neighborhood. I do live in Baltimore, and its not exactly the safest city in the United States but there are well over 1000 offenders in my area. Thank you for the post this is very helpfull. Luckily I think the closest offender is something like 4 miles from me but it seems like there are so many in that area that it is insane.

This is most truly one of the scariest sites I have ever been on. I was obsessed when I first became aware of it. Thank you for putting the link on here and making it available to others.~Donna

Does anyone know of anything like this in Canada? I think they have a law against it, something about the preditors rights. What rights should they have?
