What is up with the new thing they are talking about recycling toilet water? That is an accident waiting to happen. They say they can recycle all the stuff out and make it drinkable. What I think may not be important but,I do believe if they do this we will be getting all kinds of diseases. Why can't they recycle the ocean water? What is your opinion on this?

This is actually being done in pretty much every city in the United States. Everything that goes down your drains from your toilet waste, to your tooth paste everything is recycled. It all collects at your towns waste water treatment facility. The water is filtered off all contaminents, and is cleaned via a chemicle like chlorine, as well as UV light. It is totally safe, yet a little gross.

Toilet water is recycled in cities all the time. Where do you think your flushed water goes? LOL
Near me, it goes into a septic tank and then eventually into the ground and either evaporates or finds it's way into streams and such.
In cities it goes into waste treatment systems and then back into reservoirs which, in turn, becomes your drinking water again.
Ocean water is no more clean or dirty than other water as eventually your flushed water makes it's way into there, too.
I just assumed all people knew this!! LOL

No I do not think it works that way. They are going to recycle waste water into the toilet to flush. The water will be from the tub or sink, not the toilet. It is refered to as "grey water". And that makes real sense, why use fresh water for flushing.
