I always knew that about her, because she was always doing some strange things? I said it about a month ago, I thought this girl is off her Rocker, No really she just needs help. What do you think about here. first I thought Oh, she just wants attention, but now I can see what the problem was, and after she lost her Children that just made things worster for her don't you think? I guess they don't need to be around all that Drama.

I figured as much about her also. I am so tired of hearing about her on the news every day. I think she is just doing alot of the things she does just for attention. I think she is still immature and doesn't want any kind of responsibility. She had everything going for her and she ruined it all herself by partying all of the time.

Somehow it doesn't surprise me that they're thinking she's bipolar. I wondered about that myself a long time ago. Still, I think no matter what, this girl just plain needs help. I hope she gets the help she needs to someday become a mother that her children will be proud of. I know they're little, but imagine the confusion her kids must have (or will have) over all of this.

Thank God they are still young and not old enough to understand what is going on with their Mother.

I feel so very sorry for her. People just need to leave that poor girl alone. How is she ever going to get better if the media doesn't leave her be. She needs help and some privacy. If the media doesn't want to consider her and her feelings, maybe they should think about her kids. If they had this stuff going on with them, they wouldn't want it being broadcast all over, they would want some privacy too.

It would explain a lot if she is but I still don't have that much sympathy for her, with her money she'll get the best treatment possible.
Hopefully now the problems been identified she will start to improve and will stop pulling all those stunts, and I still believe many of them were calculated publicity stunts even if she is ill.

They say a lot of things about Britney Spears and I don't think that any of these things are remotely helpful to her. If she truly is Bipolar, then she has a very serious and devastating mental illness that requires qualified treatment and she deserves our compassion. Irregardless the diagnosis, I find what Britney is going through as very sad and think that the whole media perspective of her is disgusting. These are actions and experiences of someone who is very ill and to exploit her trials is pretty savage.
Where is everyone's heart here?
She is obviously a very troubled young woman who has lost all access to her children and I would prefer to see Britney get the help she needs instead of being a gossip and paparazzi target. This stuff won't make her records sell any better.

I, too, say bravo butterfly. Let the poor girl get the care and medical attention she so desperately needs without the constant scrutiny from the paparazzi. Certainly along with celebrity comes the media attention, but it's all gone too far. The media coverage of her being bundled screaming into an ambulance was appalling. Who are we to speculate on the cause of her illness? The media used to have some semblance of common decency, but not any more.

it is quite possible the stress and pressure of stardom is too much for her and she may be bi polar which is a very difficult mental illness to deal with

thats good that they finally figured out what is wrong with her. As a mother I wouldn't want to lose my kids. It would feel like a big part of me is missing and she acts like she just doesn't really care. Maybe now that they know whats wrong with her and she can treat it she won't be doing so many crazy things. Alot of girls use to look up to her and then she just went crazy. I do have to say I know this is a whole different subject but I don't care for Kevin on one tree hill.

This could be why she is acting out, because her kids got taken away from her, and she is acting out. No body wants to lose their Children, but I think she just doesn't know how to handle the whole thing.

If they are saying now that she is Bipolar then she needs to get any treatment and/or meds. that her doctors recommend. I think making an effort on that will be the only way she's gonna be able to straighten up the mess her life has become.

I tried to be friends with a bi-polar personality..one day he is normal and talks sense as he has been taking his meds but then another day you say "HI" and he would jump up and down and get in your face and wonder what you meant by that?
He had so many faces. One when he was getting along with his girlfriend and another when they were fighting...up and down..sometimes all in a short time..
I learned to stay away from him as he was not trying to help himself and was a total jerk to not only me but a lot of co-workers..he would steal from friends and the next day give away a lot of stuff..and go back and forth..so you did not know who you were taking with..he had nine in his family..and he grew up hard but this is no excuse for bad manners as he was very rude and did not care who he hurt..too much drama and just childish behavior..thanks for the post

The media has been mentioning that word for a while. Saying that Britney is bipolar. If she is, then the media should really back off and let her get some rest so she can get her life back together. I had a friend who was bipolar and his life ended too short.

Personally, I feel terrible for the woman. Hollywood is very, very stressful and she started at such a young age. I believe she received too much too soon and it just got to her. She can't even take a good pi** without all of the cameras being in her face. You know, I wanted to be a singer, that was my dream but I am the type of person who cannot take stress in high doses so I would have probably been like her or like one of these other young starlets hitting the bottle or popping pills. She needs to be left alone, seriously! But I must say that I am proud of Lindsey Lohan. She has really turned around.

I dont know about bipolar, but she deifnatly is not all there. A few fries short of a happy meal, if you would. I agree, things got worse for her once her children were taken away. You know she's an unfit parents when Kevin Federline is the one who gets custody... what is the world comming to? I do not have children myself but I can imagine her pain of not being allowed to see her children anymore. But then again, she should have had the common sense and love for her children to show up the the court hearings when she was supposed to be there. I firmly believe that she care more about her public appearance and how often she was in the media than she did about those poor little boys. I read in an article that she is trying to have more children so that she can replace Jayden and Preston. How sick is that?!

Personally, I feel very sorry for Britney. She was a star at a young age and everyone around her were just "hangers on" including her parents. The press is unrelenting, so she obviously plays games with them. No one has mentioned her manager, who was feeding her handfuls of pills and telling her that if she wanted her children back she had to take them. At least the judge ordered him to stay away. Now her father has control of her money, her goofy ex has the kids and her mom has written a book on parenting... what a joke. She needs a real friend with no ulterior motives, that can talk to her and help her cope. Most talented people are very sensitive and fragile and only a few have the business sense and direction to be in control of their own lives. In the "olden" days, the studios protected the artists and looked out for their welfare. Now they are on their own and every con artist in town wants a piece of the action. I don't know if she is bi-polar or not, just confused, over medicated and friendless. I wish the absolute best for her and hope the media backs off. Then she might have a chance at a normal life.

I figured that she was a mani depressive or what they call it, bipolar, because she sounded just like my sister-in=law who lives in Prince Edward Island. Before they found out and she got the medicine to calm her, she was really down and then got really high. She did not go through the extremes because she could not afford to, but when she was up she was treating everyone, leaping up and being very exuberant. And she was so depressed and would not do anything when she was down. i mean the only difference is that Britney has enough money so she can do more things that would shock us.

I would venture to say, marciascott, that her problems seem to go beyond bipolarity. I have seen quite a few people who have a bipolar condition, and many of them also have underlying problems. All of the issues need to be addressed and treated.

I am sure Britney is bi-polar. And she is going through a manic stage. I have 2 children who are
bi-polar and their lives have been so torn up.
So successful at anything they do, until the depression hits or the mania gets too far out of control. The horrible problem of this disease is that
it takes different meds for different people. It is
a chemical imbalance in the brain, and it's trial and
error until they find the best combination. A good
chance that giving birth to her babies maybe has
set off the extreme mania by causing chemcials to
change in her brain. They can change from mania
to depression in one hour or vice versa.
We are having an epidemic of bi-polarism. I wonder
why? Is it "the disease of the era", where some
Drs. diagnose everything as bi-polar? Or are they
just recognizing it better?
My daughter raised two fine boys while having a
terrible time with her bi-polarism. But she had
complete support from her entire family. The one
thing she never waivered about was her boys. They
were always taken care of first. She was so scared
she would lose her babies. The boys are grown and
both have college degrees and are very successful,
but so was she at their age. I just pray that the
gene has not passed to them. The hardest thing about
this disease is that they quit taking their medicines
a lot of times, very non compliant. She was never
like that, she was a single mom and she knew the
boys would be taken by their father. But my son
constantly goes on and off his medicine, and his
life is ruined. The daughter has finally hit on the
right combination, takes a lot of medication, but is stable.
One of the things to notice when someone is manic, is
that they have the brightest eyes. Their eyes sparkle
and both mine did that from the time they were
children, but she was 35 before it hit, and he was
in his early 20's.

I do not care about her at all. I do not know why people have icon like that. Do people really know that person? The person who is the object of great attention and devotion did something great?
It is unreasonable, right?

Yeah more than likely that's what is wrong with her, but can't people just have a little consideration and just pray for her, instead of criticizing her? I don't get it, she's had enough torture, and yeah she may be doing it her self but that's where prayer comes in. My family don't agree with how she is acting or what she is doing, but that doesn't mean we are criticizing her, we are praying for her. Is very sad about what's going on with her life, and her children, yes it was better for them to be pulled away from her, and given to the father, I still think that she should have a chance to get things back together, and have people help her instead of saying nasty things about her all the time
