Do you like your salsa hot, medium, or mild? Chunky or smooth? I like between a mild and medium spiciness and just chunky enough that it doesn't pour right off the chip or food that I'm putting it on.

I personally like my salsa chunky and either medium or spicy...I usually get medium though and if I'm in the mood for it to be hotter I just add some Franks Red Hot to it :-D

That's a good idea...you can personalize the spiciness yourself. Sometimes I buy "medium" and it barely has any spice and sometimes it's so hot my nose and eyes water. So maybe I'll stick to mild and have some hot sauce on hand to spice it up a bit.

Once I bought some guacamole that had that concept to it... they had the hot pepper in there and you could chop up as much of it as you wanted to put in and just throw the rest away. If only it had been better guacamole, that would have been a genius idea.

my favorite salsa is homemade with fresh ingredients - I like it chunky with dice onions, tomatoes, peppers, etc with also some cilantro added in - I am a big fan of picco de gallo. I like the liquid of the salsa to be a little thin though, not all coagulated and gaggy to me. I like a medium spice - some hot is good providing a decent burn and lots of flavor, but other hots are just burn and no flavor... or covering up the flavor.

I like mine mild and chunky! I got this little chopping machine at the mall like 5 years ago and the guy had a bowl of salsa he made with this machine. I havent used the machine since but I have been wanting to make some cause it was way better than the kind you get in the store.

I like my salsa anywhere in the medium to hot range, but almost never mild. Mild salsa just doesn't have enough flavor for me. I like my salsa fairly chunky too, not too chunky, but I hate watery salsa. I generally only eat salsa with chips, but I don't like chips without salsa unless I have guacamole or something else to put on them.

I hate watery salsa too. Like you, we love chips but have to have dip...guacamole is our other favorite...we could start a whole other discussion about that :)

I'm in the mood for salsa nearly every evening...my husband and I are healthy eaters but we love our tortilla chips and dip.

I like my salsa smooth and hot. When my husband buys the chunky style, I put it into the food processor to cut up the chunks...lol

Being from the south I like all my foods hot and spicy. nothing is worst then eating bland food.. So I would have to say for my salsa it would have to be hot too, and an inbetween of chunky and smooth..

I like it mild or medium so that i can get the rich flavour of it and enjoy eating.......

I feel the same as you...I like the flavor that a little spice gives but not so much that my mouth burns or eyes water :)

I like my salsa to be hot! I don't like it when it's too runny but like it when it has just the right amount of chunky bits in without that much that you are chomping on more of the salsa that the chip you dipped in it!!!
