I know this question has probably been asked ton's of times, but I have never noticed it since I've been here. My least favorite thing as far as housework goes is LAUNDRY!, what's your least favorite thing? Just curious...... :o)

My favorite thing is laundry. I go to a laundromat. I have my routine down, it doesn't take too long and boom, I have clean clothes.

I am lucky. I don't wear anything that Can wrinkle. So I can take my time taking them out of the washer while a tub is drying.

Oh NO! Not the dreaded, (LAUNDROMAT!). I'm all stressed doing that, cause all the machines are done at the same time, then you can't fold fast enough, before everything gets wrinkled!!!!!!!! Oh S**T! Where's the PROZAC, when you need it?! Kidding..... Glad you can handle that, & Have fun folding that laundry. :o) Thanks for commenting!

ohhh, i don't like housework at alll. in fact, i don't really like the whole process of cleaning the house. i especially do not like to move things and clean inside, or dust or clean the windows and fans. mann i get tired even just thinking about housework. no wonder my house is as dirty as a pig sty. grins

Okay, Sminut13, you can't let your house be a (Pig Sty)! Alright, I guess you can....... Even though I can't stand to do the laundry, I know I still have to (Painstakingly), do it. Hey, so do what some of us are gonna do, TURN UP THE MUSIC! :o) Marilyn

I absolutely hate to clean the bathrooms! I don't mind doing anything else but I hate to do that. Thank God my bathrooms are super small though but I just hate to clean the toilet, that's the worst, lol.

Wow, you must have a bad toilet! LOL, just joking. Guess I don't have a problem with the toilet. Make sure you don't get that lil'-ring that starts to form after pondering whether you should clean the toilet after like, 2-3 weeks. Tee-Hee...... Have-a-Super-Day, Happymommy3 :o)

Lol, it's really not that dirty. I don't get that ring thing around my toilet, I think that's the grossest thing I've ever seen. I think it's more of a germ thing, for some reason the toilet just grosses me out knowing what happens on it. I know, lol, sounds crazy but that's why I hate cleaning it.

me too! i don't like doing the laundry because its too tiring especially if its handwashing (i don't like washing my clothes in the machine because i'm afraid it might get torn up). so imagine how much effort and energy i have to use on handwashing. i have to wash and hang the clothes. .

Hi there Secretbear........ Wow, if I had to do laundry by hand, I'd just throw in the towel, Ha!Ha! My hat's off to you, for sure. I think my whole paycheck would go to, doing the laundry. That would suck! Guess I don't have it so bad after all...... Thanks for making me feel, like it's not so bad after all, and could be worse. Have a great day, and remember to keep that (1), plate clean. LoL Marilyn :o)

Cleaning my floors is prob the worst cause its the most physically challenging, but cleaning the toilets after boys is a close second. I miss the good old days when I had a maid! LOL Now I am the maid! Or that's what my 8 yr old told me anyway. Today he saw me mopping the kitchen floor and asked me how much I get paid. I bust out laughing. He thinks I get paid? Being a SAHM is the most underpaid and underappreciated job. LOL I also agree with whoever said folding/matching socks! We have a ghost of a machine. Two socks go in, one comes out. And waiting for people to put their laundry away! I hate washing clothes cause it went from kitchen table where I folded and sorted it to the bedroom floor to the laundryroom! @@

I used to like to do laundry, when I could hang it on the line outside. Where I live now, we are not allowed to have a clothesline. We live in Fl and cannot hang our clothes outside. It is so stupid to waste all that energy on a dryer, when the sun is there for free. There is plenty of places to put the clothesline where it cannot be seen from the street so no one would think it looks slummy. All the other Apt. Complexes around us have outside lines anyway so who cares. Actually, I do not mind any housework. As long as I am able to do it on any given day, I never mind. I even enjoy ironing. I iron all my clothes. cl:) Shalom

I use to enjoy housework, when I was younger, and could stay at home. Now after all these years of doing it, laundry makes me cringe..... Oh well, we still gotta do it, if we don't we're gonna be all dirty and stinky! I prefer being clean. :o)

Thanks for Best Response Marylynlynn, Housework is the one job that no matter how well it is done, is never done. I think that is one of the reasons why people hate it the most. When you finish a job, it is supposed to stay finished! Shalom~Adoniah

I just don't like the vacuum cleaning.Taking it out from the crammed place makes the sweat beads appear, and pulling out the cord will start making my arms ache. Going towards the power socket with the cleaner in one hand and the plug in the other without getting tripped is a thing that I haven't mastered yet.Well after all this I hate the sneezing part the most.

Hi marilynlynn, I actually enjoy doing the laundry - it gives me an outlet for creativity, and I do so love to iron hankies, because it feels so good when they're all done (sort of like beating one's head against the wall and then stopping). Aside from laundry and vacuuming and cleaning the kitchen, there's not too many household chores that I can think of. I probably like cleaning the bathroom least of all. Mainly because it won't stay clean - no matter how many times I beat it, the damn thing just won't die! One fun thing about household cleaning is catching up on all the latest gossip with the Daddy Long Legs who've taken up residence in various corners of the ceiling. They might look a little untidy there with their fangs busily knashing, but these spindly little creatures do a sterling job of pest management (as evidenced by the festering piles of critter corpses heaped beneath their hangouts). They even catch and eat any other spider foolish enough to come within fanging range. So I vacuum up their garbage, but I generally leave the Daddy Long Legs to do their business. They're also good for inside tips on the races.

Hey there Mister..... Nice to see you. Thanks for the wonderful comment, you still amaze me beyond belief. Yah, the bathroom isn't my cup of tea either, but we still have to deal with it from time to time, regardless. I hardly ever see spiders in my lil' part of the world, I'm really glad of that, I can't stand em. We do have some venomous ones, gotta watch out for those dudes, cause I've seen what they can do to a person. Have an awesome day! Your friend, Marilyn ;o)

Hi marilynlynn, I've not seen spiders referred to as "dudes" before - takes a bit of getting one's mind around, I find, because then those horrible, ferocious Red-Backs would be "dudettes", and it just doesn't seem to fit. As for the rest, most of them still don't wear the "dude" label very well. I suspect if you said "Yo later dude" to most of them, that would just put you on their list of items to devour when they get some free time. Spiders are essentially the incarnation of horrible - heartless, mindless, soulless abominations that exist only to kill, and to do so in the most horrible way. And aside from Daddy Long Legs (which are basically helpful and harmless), the only other spiders for which I have any respect are the various species of jumping spiders,. But even these don't come across as "dudes", because they're just too smart and sophisticated for any of that gang-type vernacular. More like no-nonsense business-men than ghetto-blasting hype-meisters. A jumping spider, I can relate to.

Okay Dodoguy, Maybe "Dude" wasn't the most appropriate word here, for those spiders, but you still got the point. My mind doesn't work like yours, and obviously I couldn't come up with anything else to call them. So what would be a good name for them? I don't know the actual names of most of them. I actually call alot of things "Dude". I think that while raising my children, I must of picked up that nasty habit, from them, including other things. Oh well, that's what makes me, "Me". Just accept it Dammit! ;o) Hope you have a wonderful day today! Marilyn

Hi P3halliwel2005........ That would be alot of laundry to do for(7), people?! My daughter went on vacation last week, and I had to house sit, so I decided to clean her house, and man, did she have alot of laundry, Whew! She has three little ones, her husband and herself. I thought I would never get done with just the friggin sock pile. Needless to say there were extra socks when I was finished. I feel for you. Are some of your kids old enough to help with the laundry? Get them to help if you can, cause that is too, too, much for just one person. I bet it never ends. Take-care and I'll see-you around, hopefully, Marilyn :o) Thanks!

Ha yes I totally agree with you marilyn! As the first reply also says, I don't mind putting the laundry on but I hate pegging it out and the worst part is definitely folding it and putting it away or hanging it up. I actually fold all my clothes roughly as I take them off the line and hang them straight up as soon as I'm done and I find that if I do this, the need for ironing is greatly reduced! i hardly ever iron, I hate it. I can't iron well anyway. Oh and it's not strange that you'd rather clean your toilet than do the laundry-I'm with you on that one! In fact, I have a load in the machine that's probably ready to hang out now...thanks for reminding me! :-)

Well, It's about time, that somebody agrees with me on the (Toilet) matter, whew! Hey, I think I might hang my stuff up from now on. I have a walk-in-closet, and I can hang almost all of my stuff, but dummy-me,what do I do?, I still fold it. Too,too lazy to actually go hang it, from the dryer. Where is my head at? (Obviously in the TOILET!). LOL Marilyn

I hate mopping the floor. Ugh! We have tile floors and the grooves are a real pain! Can't just use a Swifter. The best way to clean is on your hands and knees with a scrubber and a wet rag.

We can only pick one? I hate hanging and folding and picking up the clothes but washing them isn't bad. I hate cleaning the floors and it wouldn't be so bad if the kids wouldn't be chasing me around trying to get into the dirt pile and trying to catch my broom. Everything takes more time when you have kids.

Ironing, I hate it and it is the most pointless thing to do because as soon as you sit down, you crease not only trousers/skirt but also t-shirt/shirt. The only time I iron is for an interview, when I want to look as smart as possible to impress a new employer, even then I cheat and only iron the front of the blouse. I dress casual all the time, so it isn't a big deal if things are creased and my mum has completely given up on me now.
