Would you please join with me in giving a new member a BIG, WARM Mylot Welcome?

Canada
February 19, 2008 5:12pm CST
Greetings to all again..good to be back and catching up with you. I have a favor to ask..would you be willing to join with me in giving a new member one of our BIG, WARM Mylot welcomes? She is a very courageous widow who lost the love of her love to cancer 7 months ago. When I told her about Mylot and how it is possible to develop a wonderful sense of community and make some new relationships she willingly opened herself to the idea. She has been working on her profile and chose a butterfly to represent the transformational changes she is going through. I asked her if she felt OK about me presenting her site to all of you and she said she would love to connect with members...and any other widows out there. If you would care to both she and I would appreciate your support in making her feel as welcome here as you did when I signed up over 8 months ago. I am thanking you in advance... Raia Here is her Mylot site: http://www.mylot.com/Louise2008

Hi again...and look at you...3,000th post..DONE!!! Yeah Arkfaf61...w-a-y..to..GO!!! With the time I spend responding to responses it seems that is all I can do while I am here. However, I love the chats and threads so it is a happy trade off. It does bother me when I have no time left over to visit friends site...but I do it as I can. Anyhow...thanks for your interest and support of Louise. Not only does she have her grief to content with...but a variety of health problems as well. She may not be too active initially, but she is excited by the generous welcoming already...so thanks for doing your part! I have been wanting to drop by and respond to your MIL discussions. How are things going with her and your family? I think you are a very patient, understanding daughter-in-law...sounds like the dynamics are VERY challenging! You know I am here...and you have my e-mail if you need another sounding board. I value the fact that we enjoy our Cyber friendship so much...it has developed quickly but that is because we share similar views on things I guess. How is the weather where you are...we are dipping into the minus 40's again with the wind chill. David and I have been going around and sealing up every draft as we find it and eventually we will have the energy efficient home we've been striving for. Thank goodness for equal payment plans on our hydro. Whew...wouldn't want to be shelling out the big bucks it would be without it! I guess we'll have to catch up here until I can pop back to your site. Thanks for understanding. Take care... Raia

Ah...thank you. It is always so touching to me to read lovely, encouraging comments like yours. I appreciate it...and that you value 'my way with words.' I believe words and thoughts are so much more powerful than some realize. They can and do contain energies that can uplift and nurture...or cut down and hurt. For that reason it is my intent to always offer what I say with in intent to uphold, honor and embrace. You are a sensitive, caring person and I am glad you can feel the warmth and respect I send your way whenever we chat! I spoke to Louise on the phone and asked her to read your comments here and on her site about how Mylot helped you in your grieving process. It means a lot to both of us that you are willing to offer your empathy and understanding to her. She has quite a few health challenges too...so her energy comes and goes. However, I trust she will be in touch when she can. Wishing you many light filled blessings, your friend.. Raia

Hi Joyce...thank you for your positive feedback about being a friend. My Mom raised me with a belief that to have a friend...you need to be one. Thanks for being willing to do that for Louise. She has a lot on her plate right now and I trust that she will gain strength and support from the wonderful community of people here...and you are among them. I appreciate your willingness to assist her...and me. May the good you do for others come back in ways that add to the quality of your life. Wishing you many light filled blessings, Raia

Raia, you will most certainly get our support. Thank you for introducing Louise to us. Any friend of yours here at myLot is also a friend of ours. In the spirit of ubuntu, you have brought a dear friend to our shores, and we will cover her with our love, care and concern because we share a common bond with all our fellow beings. Louise, if you are reading this, I want to warmly welcome you to this community, this family of like-minded people from all over the world who have congregated here for one common purpose - to share our views, our thoughts, our joys, our hurts and sorrows, our disappointments, our celebrations of life and all other things that life holds for us. I know you will experience warmth and friendship as you interact with others here, because we too have benefited from this experience.

Ah Lexus...what a wonderful friend you have turned out to be. I think we met over our Chinese food discussion if I recall. Now we are sharing the breadth and depth of personal and profoundly meaningful energetic and heart-centered exchanges. Seeing you here and reading your warm and compassionate words is very moving to me. Louise has a lot to work through right now...including some health challenges along with her grieving process. She started out as a client and became a friend. I respect her courage and knew her willingness to open up to this amazing community would augment her healing journey. How could it not help...with the outpouring of energetic support that is offered. I feel so blessed to be here...and be a recipient of such care, concern and genuineness. With her current state of health I am not sure how much she will participate initially...but I am going to cut and paste your caring, encouraging words and send her a message. My gratitude cannot adequately be expressed in words...but you are a sensitive soul and I trust you will feel it coming your way in an honoring exchange between friends. Wishing you and your family many light filled blessings, Raia

You're welcome! As we all know, there's a saying that goes, "Tell me who your friends are, and I'll tell who you really are." :) I still don't know anything about Louise, but I have a feeling that she's a good person...like you. Ok, don't start blushing on me now! hahaha! It's not a surprise that you have received such very warm responses. It's a reflection of how you are accepted by the Mylot community. :) Still have to check on my profile page....or better yet, try to "navigate" my way through. So many changes... I guess I have to change the layout of my profile because I'm starting to get cross-eyed trying to read whatever new stuff were added to my profile. Bye for now!

Butterfly lamp in my office - This photo is of a butterfly lamp I gave my mother before she died. I inherited my love of butterflies from her. They have great spiritual significance...because like them we move from a closed state until we gain enlightenment and leave this realm...flying free with our own wings!
Ah...what a lovely, warm embracing energy you have. I can feel it coming through your words and I thank you!I appreciate your hugs...sending mine back to you. We have a common thread here..I love butterflies..so do you...and Louise. Like minded others right from the beginning. Hope you also enjoy Mylot and decide to stay with us.
