Hi. Welcome to Mylot. I requested your friendship because your mom asked me to. It is nice to meet you. I work nights now and it is so hard to unwind and go to bed during the laylight hours. It will be extremely hard ths summer because the sun will be shining right in my bedroom window. I will also have yardwork to do and a swimming pool calling my name, LOL. The only relaxation I get is when I force myself to stop for the day and go to bed and sleep for a few hours.

Yes. It is quite rough. My husband works nights too now so I have to work when he does so we can spend time together on his time off. We work 7 days a week right now too which doesn't help, but we have to have it for now.
I bet it is hard on you on second shift with the baby as well. I have done that one also. My daughter is now 16 though.
I do feel tired alot and have to take a nap every so often too. My sleep schedule is all messed up.
Is the baby used to your hours and sleep well when you are ready to?

I too like the chamomile tea. But I also like taking valerian. It is herbal, and it allows me to have a very restful sleep. With working the many hours that I do, I am thankful that I have this to relax me enough to get to sleep, so that I can get up early enough to start another work day.

I like to get my head stuck into a good book, it also helps my brain become tired and settle down. I love reading and I have endeavoured to read more because I felt the internet was taking over my quality reading time. I love a good detective novel. It's like an escape. I also like listening to soft music to help me calm down and soothe me.

Dear sophiasmom,
Try not to think of the bad things which happened to you through out the day. Just keep thinking of the good ones. It will relax you. Also if you like take a glass of milk with honey in it. It'll make you sleep. This is from my own experience. Just concentrate on something or someone whom you like or love best. Try to remember the features slowly. You'll relax and get off to sleep. This is a good method.. Try out and tell me if you found it right for you..
