There have been a few keys to me since I've lost some weight and continually work to keep it off. First, I like to remain active. Whether it's as simple as parking at the back of the parking lot when I go to a store so that I walk a little more to making a conscious effort to go to the gym to workout, it's activity first. Then I also watch whatI eat and have cut my portions by a fourth. I am only eating 3/4 of my normal portions, but eating more and consistently burning the energy. Hopefully this all helps!

Thanks for your advice.I think I should cut my portion on supper.Usually,I'm just so hungry when the sun goes down and eat a lot.Being a lazy-bone,I just use all kinds of excuses to avoid exercise.Maybe,it's time to change.

Fruits and veggies- fresh and raw when possible. You can eat as many leafy greens as you want. Lots of beans, seeds, nuts. Personally I do eat eggs and cheese occasionally- but I avoid all other animal fat items except maybe once a week. I would say 90% of my diet is fruits and vegetables most days- and about half of that is raw. I avoid processed foods- we go out to eat one night and if I get the "normal" type of stuff one would get, I can "gain" 3 pounds by the next morning from the added SALT. Also drink lots of water. I believe it is half your body weight in ounces- so if you weigh 150 pounds, drink 75 oz/day of water. (Double check that by searching online, though I am pretty sure that is the "formula.") I have recently lost 20 pounds eating this way and it is much healthier!

Thanks for reminding us about water, that is probably one of my problems I find I do not drink nearly as much as I should oh and also raw foud. I also avoid processed foods. and salt is really a big problem for me as I have high blood pressure so do not use any table salt and I do read all the labels. but eating out does present some problems. you have given me some real ideas to go by so thanks so much. I am a diabetic with high blood pressureso have to be so very careful. I am always amazed at how much salt is in all our prepared food. salt and sugar!

lemon - lemon image
i like lemon juice to keep me in shape. After meal a glass of lemon juice (not cold or with ice) will help me erase the fat on the food i have just eaten.

I think you should go for exercise such as use stairs more than elevator, swimming, and avoid to eat more meat and fats and oily food, and use your energy more for thinking such as answer the questions in mylot lol, puzzles, studying, and solve sudoku...lol. To Climb stairs will burn your calories more than other exercise because you;re walking force the gravity, that all i know. Its really burn your fats! believe me. Swimming also a really good exercise to build your muscles and not fat! Its the sport that can burn the most fats, and really good for respiration, and dont eat dirrectly after doing such activities (you will get fat faster than before!!! my friends doing it, and they were failed to loss weight!) If you're going to eat, pls eat after 2-3 hours with food 1/4 than your usual meal, with more vegetables, fruit juice, and avoid to eat something meat and fried food, junk food, soft drink, chocolate, and chocolate milk. Thinking such studying and solving puzzles and sudoku also will use all energy in your body, since brain really working... and brain is the center of all activities in your body metabolism and regulations. Control your appetite, avoid temptation to eat what you want, but eat WHAT YOU NEED and dont add them!!!

Have tried diets and did not succeed at all so am trying to eat the healthy way and cut out sweets, too much starchs, and too much fat, salt and sugar. this is so hard for me but have to do it.

Take cold icy drinks 4-5 times a day, it reduces appetite and keeps you off the urge to eat-you at least know that a large body mass demands that one eats a lot-eating alot sometimes gravitates one towards eating fatty foods which means more weight gain! Also do some exercise, simple routine walks, it will help you fix the problem

But my stomach isn't very good.I can't risk the icy-drink way maybe.Exercise do help,I know, but I'm lazy and always sit still in front of the computer.I'll try to overcome my laziness because it seems one way to me

Be sure and eat breakfast and eat healthy foods like fruits and vegetables. Avoid sweets and foods high in fats and calories. I eat very small meals 5 to 6 times a day to avoid feeling like I'm starving. I'm not losing a lot of weight each week, but am keeping the weight off and have lost some weight.
