are you revengeful?

The reason I bring this up is because I have a coworker that no matter how you treat he she alawys give you attitude, And she makes me just want to get back at her someway. Revenge is bad, and to a degree I know its immature? Does anyone here use revenge to satisfy themselves?

It is an impulse that I do admittedly have and work very hard not to give in to, usually with success, but not always, lol. Prior to retiring, hubby and I had a sign on the inside of the front door that we glanced at every day on the way out:
Living Well is the Best Revenge
We really believe that. When we retired, we took that sign down and threw it away...and started living well. I believe that what comes around goes around and that those who interfere with the natural order of things will suffer for it, so as a practical matter I seek justice rather than revenge.

I know I shouldn't encourage you but if you want my full honesty, then I do seek revenge, yes I know I am wrong to think this way but the satisfaction is too great, and when someone has done something so nasty, vindictive or horrible to you then they deserve it! The cliche revenge is a dish best served cold, the colder the better. In the past I have got revenge on people who have really hurt me and I have felt so much better for it. You have only got to look in the papers to find revenge in one story or another! Men going behind their partners back and the wife cutting off his assets! Well I'm first in the queue to say go girl go! I may be a cuddly, placid wolf but if anyone pushes me into a corner I show my claws! At the end of the day it doesn't matter what others think sophiasmom, it's your decision and you know whether you can live with what you do, a little slice of revenge tho can be very very tasty ;0)

That would drive me crazy. I used to work with people like that. I wanted revenge on them but never did anything. I actually wanted them to just stay away from me if they were going to be like that. People drive me nuts when they cannot see when a person is truly going out of their way to be nice to them. I would just stay away from her if she is treating you like that.

I can't say that I am a revengeful person. There are always going to be people that get under one's skin. But I try to use kindness to throw them off. Revengence doesn't get anyone anywhere that's for sure.
