Would like to know if your mobile is original or not?!! Press the following on your mobile *#06#and the-international mobile equipment identity number appears check the 7th and 8th numbers 123456 7th 8th 9101112131415 Phone serial no. xxxxxx??xxxxxxx IF the digit number Seven & Eight is 02or 20 that mean it was assembled in the Emirates which is very Bad quality IF the digit number Seven & Eight is 08 or 80 that means it was manufactured in Germany which is not bad IF the digit number Seven & Eight is 01 or 10 that mean it's manufactured in Finland which is Good IF the digit number Seven & Eight is 00 that means it was manufactured in original factory which is the best Mobile Quality ... IF the digit number Seven & Eight is 13 that means it was assembled in Azerbaijan which is very poor quality and potentially very dangerous to your health!!! www.trademart.in

Hi I think that this code is mend for -- international users only .. I tried this here at my side but it did not worked out :( .. I guess you got this information from net.

actually, all mobile phones use *#06# to get the imei. i believe its been set as an international standard. if you want to get the imei of your phone, you need to type *#06# while your phone is at the home screen.

Hi there. Right after I read this discussion, I immediately tested my phone and my moms. I'm glad to know that our Nokia phones are manufactured in Finland since its serial numbers 7 and 8 all appeared to have the number 01 and 10. :) Thanks for sharing this valuable information. It matters to me knowing that I have the original phone which I paid for rather than knowing that I don't have the original one yet paid for the price of an original model. :) Thanks and take care

This is very important information that I would like to know. I used to buy Nokia in the past. But now I prefer to use smartphone much more. But this information can be shared to my friends who use Nokia cellphones.

Hi Thank you for sharing this with us all. I do have an original Nokia but I have replaced the original Nokia battery with an Angel one which stops the affect from radiation and makes phone safe. In UK there were a few dud batteries that caused housefires from overheating whenh left on charge so I changed battery immediately then. Ellie :D

hmm..nice move...recently many batteries exploded in India causing injuries to few user....but majority of people got their batteries replaced as told by NOKIA due to faulty manufacturing....this is what we call smart company...replaced all faulty ones for free all over the world

Hi yes I was aware Nokia replaced these batteries but I still got an Angel one as they prevent the effects from radiation. Ellie :D

oh gosh i just knowing it from your posting thread dear. and i just checked my imei number in my nokia mobile and feeling glad that the digit 7th and 8th shows 00 as like your said its an original factory product. but i wonder to know why if its assembled in azerbaijan, the nokia mobile getting worst mobile? in my opinion whereever it assembled, does nokia have a standard quality which should be fullfilled?

My two nokia cellphone has the 7th and 8th digit of 00 and i have one nokia with 01, 7th and 8th digit...base on the given data it is in good quality.
