Yep! I just joined on Monday and I'm having a ball!
I don't have a life, so this fills a void for sure. And to get paid for running my mouth? What a bonus!

Like I said, I have a big mouth and can be very opinionated.
Always wondered if there was a way to list those 'qualities' on a resume, and wow, here I am.

No I don't really spend a lot of time on here, maybe half an hour or so in between doing other things. Having said that when I joined, which was well over a year ago now, I used to spend whole days on here. I guess the novelty has worn off now lol! Although I still really enjoy it though, I drift away to other things but keep coming back here again. I guess there are worse things that could take over your life and at least it pays!

I can imagine that the novelty does wear off after a while. Maybe I haven't quite reached there yet. I think that it's a bit like a telephone answering machine, you can't help but just have a peek and see if there are any messages for you. Except with this machine you can join in with other peoples stuff. Thank you for your reply.

I wouldn't say mylot is taking over my life, although I do enjoy coming on here to share my opinions and learn more about new friends.
Even if it was taking over my life, what would be the problem in that? Easy money, right? :P (KIDDING!!!)
I know once the weather improves, I'll be out and about more, and spending less time online. Mylot has less of a chance of taking over my life when I'm actually living one, I find. ;)

I'm not here for the money either. I thrive on the social aspect and interesting conversations. I like to think I'm actually learning some things when I'm on here.

I haven't yet had a sunny day outside where I stayed in on myLot, but it may happen yet! I am doing a little bit of work for a retail marketing company and in 10 minutes this afternoon I shall earn twice as much as I have in 4 weeks on myLot. So it's definitely not the money! I just enjoy the people and the discussions.

I most definately do have days where I don't seem to get too much else done. Last night for example was on here til midnight. I usually go up to bed 10-10.30 ish but the time just seems to disappear. Its great though that there are so many lovely people on here to have discussions with. Most days though I check in every couple of hours or so, check any new responses or new discussions my friends have started then go off and do something around the house. It has taken over my life just yet! Ellie :D

I find that I sort of skip through the chores and pop back to see what's going on on here. I really do need to get out more. I took over all the household chores when I temporarily "retired". I feel a bit of a con man to my wife who thinks I scrub and cook all day.

Yep, I feel the same. It's easy to spend a lot of time here. I've been sick for the past couple of days, so I have had more time than usual.

You have to be careful p1kef1sh, it's a symptom of mylot addiction!;)
I think everyone who understood this site have felt that way, as it's a disease newbies usually get!LoL I guess I still feel that way till now, but only on the back of my mind. Being here and discovering this site is definitely worth the time to spend, since you get to know people from different countries.
It's like, our window to the world.

I use to feel that way p1kef1sh! When I first joined mylot I pretty much neglected a lot of things around me or spent most of my day online then rushed around doing what I needed to do and then after dinner came back online to post some more discussions and reply to as many discussions as I could before going to bed. I even did a few all nighters too!
This place is very addictive and the friends you make along the way are one of the main reasons I try to sign on at least once a day just to catch up and see how their doing. The $$ are perks that come with it too!

I don't think you should worry about it too much pal at the moment. It's something you're enjoying and it's keeping you busy and it's not like you're gambling or doing something that could harm you or your family. The time to worry about an addiction like this is if you start staying up late into the night to be on the site or waking up a couple of hours earlier than normal or stop going out to meet real life friends because you'd rather be here! Then you should really worry! But in the meantime, who are you hurting? If you miss a bit of housework that you're supposed to do, catch up on it later. Don't be too hard on yourself, you've been through a lot and deserve to spend time on something you enjoy! x

A popper inner and outer..that best descibes me.But I wholeheartedly agree with you that Mylot is addictive...that ten minutes can quickly turn into an hour ..But as you mention below Piky, the alternative is housework..not really much contest is there? On my first pop in of the day I look eagerly to see the new posts,as this week my brains arent with me,Lordy knows where they have gone!!..but I cant think of a post to post!!...Oh...ok that reminds me now....I was answering one of Gemini Roses discussions on food...and I talked about food that we ate as children, now I do completely take on board that you are a whole two years younger than me so you may not ever remember eating these things!!...Tripe in milk and onions and liver..well they were very common fare..but we used to have stuffed lambs hearts....Mum used to stuff them and roast them ..wrapped in foil...and you know they were lovely...did you ever eat them dear?

Yes. i just joined here for a week, and its really consume most of my time. I need to developed some strategy to write around 40-50 post in 2-3 hours. If I cant, I just had to drop my post to 25 and upp my quality topics and posting. I can let myLot rules my life all day. :D
