spectrum42 I like to bake more when the weather starts cooling off, so I baked yesterday for the first time in months. I made cinnamon applesauce muffins for my daughter. I guess they turned out well because she asked for them all day long.

spectrum42 I make a small garden salad and pick up a loaf of fresh bread from a bakery. You could leave the bread plain or make garlic bread from it. When I make pesto, I change out the herbs and do it with cilantro and sometimes I use walnuts instead of pine nuts....

spectrum42 My favorite days are also the weekends and for the same reasons. I like time with my family and we cook, play games, work in the yard or go to local events together. The summertime is especially fun because there are so many festivals on the weekends.

spectrum42 I thought you were describing the way I do cucumbers... right up until the sour cream step. I use water instead and float the cucumbers in it with vinegar, salt, pepper and onion. I guess I'm doing the low-cal version of your tasty sounding dish. LOL

spectrum42 I'd use a veggie patty on a whole wheat bun. Top it with jalapeno, tomato, onion, black olives and salsa or taco-seasoned mayo.

spectrum42 I am happy to see more healthy choices offered. Sometimes we're away from home and need to eat out and we don't want meal after meal of something and fries. Sometimes we'll choose the fries and other times we'll stick with the more healthy options.

spectrum42 I haven't heard the term being used so casually as you describe. When I hear it, I assume that the couple is planning to get married and probably has an idea as to when that will happen. Maybe that's not the case anymore?
