I made some pesto sauce with some basil from my yard. I am going to cook up some spaghetti noodles to serve it on. I am not sure what to serve with it though. Got any ideas? Do you like pesto sauce? Have you ever made it yourself?...

Pool uses too much chlorine while beach tends to be too salty. Pool has a limited space while beach has a vast area to roam around. Pool can be made private for your family while beach are open for public. Pool doesnt offer a...

spectrum42 For swimming, I like pools. There's no undertow or rip tide to worry about and it's private. Even though we have a pool, we go to the beach a lot because it's fun to play in the waves sometimes and watching a sunset there or building sand castles are things we...

It is said that women will often marry men who have the same qualities, mannerisms, tendencies, personality traits, etc of their fathers. Do you agree with that?

Have you noticed that several restaurants are offering healthier choices on the kids menu? Depending on the place you can get fruit cocktail. Fresh fruit, or steamed broccoli. This works for us, my daughter only wants fries once...

I've noticed in recent years that the term "fiancee" is constantly being used when people discuss their relationships. This has led me to wonder if it has just become a loose term for anyone that a person happens to be with. In...

I would have to say my spaghetti bolognaise is my most favourite of our cheaper meals. I only use 200gm of beef mince that I mince myself in the food processor, 4 zuchinnis grated, 3 carrots grated, a handful of green beans...

spectrum42 My cheapest meal is probably rice and beans. I buy both of those things in bulk, so they cost very little. I'll cook a cup or two of rice and add in about the same amount of black beans. We season it with salsa, tomato sauce or lemon/lime juice and add spices...

spectrum42 I would probably point it out, but not make a big deal of it. If it was difficult to correct, I'd just let it slide. In general, I like the prices to be rung up correctly wherever I am and I point out errors whether they are in my favor or the store's favor.

spectrum42 We're having the same questions around here. My plan right now is to have a "date night" after the little one is sleeping. We'll probably need to try sneaking in a nap during the day in order to stay up late. Once she's asleep, I'll pop in a DVD and warm up...
