We're at my house and I'm cooking hamburgers. I'm having a works burger with lettuce, beetroot, tomato, cheese, with fried onion, bacon, egg and beef patty. Topped with bbq sauce on a toasted bbq bun. All the ingredients are in that order too.
How will you take yours? Imagine I have a fridge full of various ingredients and condiments.
Orders please!

No Thank You just a plain untoasted bun is fine and no Thanks to fries or chips, but I'd love a nice tall glass of ice tea if you have.

First I am so stealing that recipe! Mine though would have A1, sauteed mushrooms, pepper jack cheese, and a tiny bit of mayo. But that's just my mood for today. I'll want something different on it tomorrow. I'm going to go eat now you people make me hungry.

I haven't heard of pepper jack cheese before now ...I'd like to try it. Meanwhile there is sure to be some in my virtual fridge for your burger. I've noticed you have a HUGE variety of cheeses over there that we don't have here. Mind you, they could be available int hte cities. I live in a tiny village out bush.

We're doing the burger thing tonight ourselves. But, what is beet root? And, an egg??? Honestly???
I love the works on mine - definitely fried or grilled onions, not raw - also mayo with ketchup, if not bbq sauce. My mother hates anything on a burger but burger except maybe some ketchup and pickle. Other than that, a burger is meant to be a solo gig - to her. Years back, I was the same way - was raised that way - but no longer. Once I discovered the wonders of the works, plain just wasn't nearly as satisfying!
We even have some BBQ beans, so I may heat a few of them up as well. Man - it's time for supper - my stomach just growled. Best get to cookin', I guess!! LOL

Beetroot is a root vegetable that is cooked peeled and pickled with vinegar and sugar. It is a deep bright pinky purple colour and delicious. The Germans make a soup out of it called borscht. An egg is the fruit of a chicken In this instance it is a fried egg as in bacon and eggs, on a burger...delicious.
I got so hungry answering these that I had to make a burger for myself.

Mmmmm... you're making my mouth water, my dear friend! For me, though, it would have to be Hawaiian style. That's lettuce and cucumber on the bottom, topped with pieces of pineapple and a beef patty. I also like this burger with a little chili relish spread on the upper bun, or a slice of melted cheese. That's what I think I'll have today, my friend... thank you!
They make those workburgers in my local pub, and they're really well filled... yummy!!! Brightest Blessings, my dear friend, and enjoy! xx

Umm-m, I love hamburgers. I don't know about the beetroot, though. Never tried that! I want the lettuce, tomato, cheese, dill pickly and lots of grilled onions. Top off a big bun with lots of mustard. Do you serve potato chips, too? I'll be over in a bit. Your weather is cooler there now, too. Right?

The beauty of a hamburger is that all the ingredients are interchangeable. A works burger here has pineapple on it but to me that's over the top. I won't open a can just for one burger. Point being...it doesn't matter how you have your burger. Beetroot is probably equivalent to American sweet pickles and as for eggs...I guess that means you can have a burger for breakfast..
