POOL or BEACH?

Pool uses too much chlorine while beach tends to be too salty. Pool has a limited space while beach has a vast area to roam around. Pool can be made private for your family while beach are open for public. Pool doesnt offer a great scenery as compared to beaches with a nice view.
I prefer pool more than a beach for main reason of privacy though as you could see beaches got a lot to offer.
How about you?

i much rather the beach than a pool. I like to lie on the sand and watch all the exciting things taking place.

I am with you on this one I would rather have a pool that only certain people swim in and also you can keep track of how much chlorine is used. Most beaches that I have been to have trash and who knows what else laying around. You have a wonderful day.

i feel that a pool is anyday better than a beach :)
you own a pool which implies that you maintain the same :)
the main use of chlorine is to remove the infection when too many people use that same pool water
but in this case it is your private pool and i guess you should be the only 1 using it
thats the case with me
like you , even i am alergic to chlorine
but the underlying fact is that since only me and my family use the pool , i dont find any necessity to put so much of chlorine ti cleanse the water :)
also coimng to the beaches now
most of the beaches are a public barring a few that are owned by resorts
in the case of beaches , firstly you just cannot expect the water to be as hygenic and clean as the water in your pools
also as it is public , quite a lot of people use the same for various purposes and we just cannot expect all to maintain it like the way you do
though a beach has a few advantages over a pool like the natural ambience etc. the advantages of a pool a uncountable

Its even now... 3 to 3! You are giving solid proof that pool are more advantageous than beaches. I thank you for that. I have learned so much from you just by reading your response. I truly appreciate this. I hope you can spent a couple of minutes reading my other postings. Looking forward for that. Thank you in advance

If I want to spend quality time with my family or friends I'd go with the pool since we can rent one and spend the whole time privately. I'd go for the beach for recreation and fun, since we can also interact with other people and explore different things there.

I chose beach as I find beach more therapeutic. Chlorine can be harmful to your body when exposed to it in a long time. Beach on the other hand has some curative to some of the major skin diseases. The breeze coming from saltwater can also make your colds disappear and also cleanses your nose when you dive in. Also in pool especially if there are others in the swimming pool could be a source for transmitting skin diseases that is if its a public pool. But I also enjoy pool once in a while I just prefer beaches especailly those that are clean and is not so public

Nothing more to ask for your response says it all. I'm happy knowing that you are lending your precious time just to ponder the discussion that I've started and give an insight so true like yours. It really makes it even harder to judge which is really better between the two. Thank you very much for your wonderful idea. God bless you my friend.

I primarily love the beach than in pools but I get to swim more safely in the pool than the beach. Even though I am a swimmer, I still feel safe from the pool. With the chlorine content of it, I PREFER the beach and make sure Im just near the shore sun bathing. :D

I will agree with that.. it is really safe to swim in a pool but if you'll do sunbathing then beaches will be the best place to do that. Thanks for your time answering this and hope to see more of your responses on my other postings. Thank you in advance.
By the way, hope youll accept my invites as well.

I agree beaches and pools both have pros and cons, but if I had to choose one I would choose a pool simply because they are private, and that means me and my fiance can swim comfortably with out having to deal with a crowd, and besides to get to a beach we would have to drive a couple hours, but to get to a pool we only have to go a short distance.

I always prefer beach because I hate the damage chlorine is doing to my skin so I dread pools! I love the sea and its mystery and I love the joy it brings to me.

I cannot help but agree with you. I do hope to have a private beach resort, maybe by then, I'll enjoy beach more than a pool.
Thank you for giving some of your time reading my posting. Hope you could read my other discussion as well. Thank you in advance. God bless you.

I would choose the beach. To me, beaches represent more freedom and more to do. Surfing, playing in the sand, etc.

I'd rather spend a day on the beach anytime than on the pool. The beach is definitely more exiciting and the breeze there is very refreshing. Sitting on the sand is also a lot more relaxing than sitting on a chair beside a crowded pool. Besides, the chlorine on the pool is really bad for my hair. My hair usually end up dry and coarse after a day on the pool.

Either will works for me. But Beaches is way better for me. Why? First off, I don't know if I even can float in a pool, second, pool has chlorine, sometimes it gets too much mixing of it in the water that makes me have my sinus, third, pool is limited if there's a lot of people swimming. But of course there's a good about pool.. Like if you have your own pool, you can have pool party and sort, bring over your friends, it's a good way of hanging out with them and spending time with them. Beaches are way fun because you can do a lot on the beach. Snorkeling, diving, swimming of course, jet skiing, surfing, and a lot more. And I can float in the water too, which is really cool (that's because of the help of the salty water). You could also see good sceneries when you do boating too. So beaches would be more fun! =D

well nothing beats walking on white sands while appreciating the beauty of nature when you're on the beach. experiencing both the sunrise and sunset is overwhelming and would really make a big difference if you're just on a pool. definitely i prefer beach than pool. though i like the idea of a pool inside the house. lol. well i think it is better to have a house beside the beach. lol. wow i'm dreaming. have a good day:)

My ultimate pleasure? Laying by the pool with a view of the beach!! I grew up spending my summers in Bermuda up until a few years ago (i'm 37 now) so beach was always what I knew--but I always HATED the sand! I am kind of OCD when it comes to sand---gets EVERYWHERE no matter how hard I try to get rid of it. I do miss that salt water though....there's nothing like the healing qualities and smell.
As I get older I tend to do the pool more consistently...but if there's a view of the beach then I'm a happy girl!

It is really more enjoyable to have both advantages of the two. I do know some pool in my country with somehow the same ambiance and scenes which can be compared to what we see and appreciate in beaches. I hope you can visit our country and enjoy the said paradise.
